the square enix games (mario hoops and sports mix) are also arguable due to having dragon quest and final fantasy characters in them, but they dont have krool or DARK DRY BONES this game puts modern mario kart to fucking shame
Remember when Mario spinoff games had epic rosters? I'm certain many people would have very little complaints if they had a roster like this (with others like Rosalina and the Koopalings) for the next Mario Kart. It was so cool how this had many DK characters at once and wasn't just limited to DK and Diddy with an occasional 3rd character like Chunky.
Too be honest, this is probably the best roster ever for a Mario game. If they add Rosalina and more character who appear more often this would be even better.

I can not get over this game I got this a few years back and i looked through my old game stash on the wii and i found this and it brings back so many memories and good time hunting for characters and all the hard challenges his game is very addictive

Mariokart loves Metal Mario, he's pretty likely from here on out. Heck, he got his own weight class where he acts like a middle-weight character in nearly very stat except for his actual weight stat, which is maxed. That's more thought than most characters. also, "Play as fan-favorite characters like Rosalina and Metal Mario!" was an actual ad I saw for Mariokart Arcade GP DX's latest update... guess who got in. PGP isn't a certainty, though, unless they keep MM's weight class and want him to share it with someone (it's the only reason she got into 8 to begin with). Mario Party series really needs a bigger roster. In Super Mario Party my biggest problems with the roster is that Toad Toadette and Birdo are not playable, and in my opinion they should be playable in every single game in Mario Party series. I would also like to see in this game baby characters, Koopalings, Boom Boom, Pauline, Luma, Sprixie Princesses, Pianta, Noki, Petey Piranha, Wiggler, Blooper, Spike, and other underused characters in Mario Party series.
I just really hope Nintendo ports this game to the switch and makes a Deluxe version of it by at least adding a few more characters to it. This game had a big roster of characters and I loved it so much!!

@@AlmondMilkLake Well, Peachette and Metal Mario aren't as bad as Pink Gold Peach. Peachette was a power up with the Super Crown and is a reference to NSMBU Deluxe, same with Metal Mario, he was in Mario 64 as a power up. They both really have more of a purpose than just a clone.

All of these should be Mario Kart characters. Like with multicolored Dry Bones, Hammer bros, Toads, Koopa Troopas, Magikoopas, Kritters, Nokis, Piantas, and Paratroopas. They should add back in Petey Piranha. Add in Diddy Kong, and King K. Rool. The only ones I might not suggest are the Boo, Wiggler, and Blooper because the three have appeared as either Karts, or items. Also, NO MORE PINK GOLD PEACH, NINTENDO!!
Toadsworth needs to be playable again. I have a bias towards older characters and it's a damn shame he hasn't appeared in any sort of other spin-off. Could you imagine how badass it would be for an elder like him to be in a high-paced game like Mario Kart?

Yes! Dixie got such an unfair treatment by Nintendo, she was as important as DK and Diddy back in the Country days, was playable in 2 of the games like both of them and was one of the first female Nintendo characters that wasn't created as a damsel in distress. She deserved to be playable in all the games Diddy was in (Except for DK 64, since they had to introduce Tiny in that game).

Mario Party series really needs a bigger roster. In Super Mario Party my biggest problems with the roster is that Toad Toadette and Birdo are not playable, and in my opinion they should be playable in every single game in Mario Party series. I would also like to see in this game baby characters, Koopalings, Boom Boom, Pauline, Luma, Sprixie Princesses, Pianta, Noki, Petey Piranha, Wiggler, Blooper, Spike, and other underused characters in Mario Party series.

I just really hope Nintendo ports this game to the switch and makes a Deluxe version of it by at least adding a few more characters to it. This game had a big roster of characters and I loved it so much!!

@@AlmondMilkLake Well, Peachette and Metal Mario aren't as bad as Pink Gold Peach. Peachette was a power up with the Super Crown and is a reference to NSMBU Deluxe, same with Metal Mario, he was in Mario 64 as a power up. They both really have more of a purpose than just a clone.

All of these should be Mario Kart characters. Like with multicolored Dry Bones, Hammer bros, Toads, Koopa Troopas, Magikoopas, Kritters, Nokis, Piantas, and Paratroopas. They should add back in Petey Piranha. Add in Diddy Kong, and King K. Rool. The only ones I might not suggest are the Boo, Wiggler, and Blooper because the three have appeared as either Karts, or items. Also, NO MORE PINK GOLD PEACH, NINTENDO!!

Toadsworth needs to be playable again. I have a bias towards older characters and it's a damn shame he hasn't appeared in any sort of other spin-off. Could you imagine how badass it would be for an elder like him to be in a high-paced game like Mario Kart?
Toadsworth is very underused, he only appeared in one 2D game (NSMB on the DS) and one 3D game (Sunshine)

If there's a sequel, hopefully there would be characters such as Rosalina, Dry Bowser, Pauline, Boom Boom, Pom Pom, Cappy, Tiara, The Broodals, Gooigi, E. Gadd, Polterpup, The Koopalings, The Tiki Tak Tribe, Lord Fredrik, King Bob-omb, Nabbit, Spike(both the Mario enemy and maybe Foreman Spike), DK. Junior(probably in 8-bit form), Para Bones, Captain Syrup, Tatanga, some WarioWare characters, and Dr. Mario, just to name a several.

Yes! Dixie got such an unfair treatment by Nintendo, she was as important as DK and Diddy back in the Country days, was playable in 2 of the games like both of them and was one of the first female Nintendo characters that wasn't created as a damsel in distress. She deserved to be playable in all the games Diddy was in (Except for DK 64, since they had to introduce Tiny in that game).

Y’all know if they were to add to this roster it’ll just be clones. We’ll get Metal Mario, Captain Toad, Dry Bowser, Pink Gold Peach, and the Koopalings who will somehow be all variant of each other despite being different sizes, aspects, etc.
They should put them all in a drop down menu for each character!
But Rosalina and Pauline are not clones. Same with Honey Queen, Luma, Nabbit, Spike, and Sprixie Princess.
Not even Paratroopa either. Also Captain Toad can't jump.
