I love how JB not only addresses Conan when he speaks, but Andy as well. He doesn’t leave anyone out of the convo. Not many guests do that

@J K Andy is the heart of Conan. He's the literal best part of the show aside from Coco himself. There's a reason he's been there since the 90's.
Yep, loved how he called Conan "long and lean", paused mid joke, looked at Andy and said "no offense". Yeah, that was totally called for to remind Andy he is fat. Crowd got a good laugh though. Wait, no they didn't. They gasped.

Honestly... for someone who isn't really picky about their food, coming into any restaurant and just ordering the unknown "special" is actually pretty damn genius! You get to experience the restaurant at it's supposed best AND you get a nice surprise dish! I'm legit gonna try this a few times at least!

As a chef I appreciate JB’s treatment of waitstaff.
The audience coming back are great, but seeing Andy again on the show and part of the convo is the best thing here.

It's not attitude, attitude is what you can't control... He's too bright for you, as are likely professional waiters in any decent place. (If one even believes it's not made up. But regardless, there is no primitive malice and ego in what he does.)

Not exactly, a lot of it is from an old bit of his, but I've only seen it in one place, if you look up "jb smoove lobster" on UA-cam you can find a screen recording of it, it was at a cbc comedy festival but it's over of my favorite bits of all time because of how off the rail it gets, I really wish i could see it somewhere else

I hate to be the one to break the news, but after 24 years working in restaurants and bars around the world, sometimes the special really is just stuff we want to get rid of, either bc it won’t be good for much longer, we ordered too much, or we know a premium price doesn’t always correlate with a premium meal. A lot of times yes, but sometimes no.

so sad TBS could not keep Conan, Not being able to be on cable tv, or a main network, I think this might be the end of his popularity, and he was the elder statesman now.
He's going to HBO Max, one of the biggest streaming platforms. Hell, they post a lot of Last Week Tonight on UA-cam as well, I assume they'd do similar with Conan.
