- One of my all time favorite songs! I love the message that Bernice John Reagon penned and Sweet Honey so brilliantly delivered. My favorite section begins at 3:41 where Bernice takes over with improvisation and that background is just layin' it DOWN! Simply a masterpiece.
I decided to upload it because nobody else did and I just HAVE to share the message. Enjoy!
I do not claim any rights to this song nor the pictures that there within.
Rise in Power🙏🏿 May the Ancestors bless you with a sweet chorus of harmonies for justice, faith and liberation as you have blessed us on the path of freedom🌟

Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon. A voice that goes all the way back to the beginning.
I grew up listening to Sweet Honey and the Rock. It is food for the soul!
Thank you for the upload... so nice to find this tonight.
saw them many years ago and really appreciate their message and authenticity.
My favorite version of this. Thx for posting.
Have the album, love the song
Lyrics:
If you see me stumble, Don’t stand back and look on, reach out now, baby, Give your hands to struggle
If you feel my heartbreak, don’t just count the sound waves, Hold me close now, baby, Give your arms to struggle
If you see me crying, tears running down my face, Don’t just pat my shoulder, help me go on right on, Give your strength to struggle
If you hear me singing this love song
Don’t just stand back and listen
(listen too me c’mon, help me raise your voice)
Help me sing it right now, Give your voice to struggle,
Then we’ll be moving, We’ll be really moving, (look at us moving right on down, we’ll be really moving) Building up our union, If you give your all to the struggle
Refrain:
Give your hands to struggle (x4)

This video has been on UA-cam 10 years, I noticed it on the right side of the UA-cam thing I was watching, I couldn't make out the words, and your lyrics had been added two weeks ago. Once in a while, I need God to take special notice of me.
