After watching your video on the 'sneak peak' with the all in one facing, I had to see your tutorial on the actual Sentosa tank. I enjoyed it so much and like you love the asymmetrical neckline. I have ordered the pattern through your link, so ... yay, you get a bit of a commission. You teach your sewing techniques so well. Clear instructions without being repetitive, and also why you use a particular technique. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and elevating my sewing and confidence in showing off my work.
Karina, I looked for your Kathryn make video and couldn’t find one. It’s $7 Tuesday today at ITS. Hope you see this. The Kathryn has a pleated neckline and woven facing. I’m sure your make would have been lovely, like the ones featured. Love your channel and don’t want you to miss out on this sale.
Beautiful sewing as always Karina but honestly that red top - you nailed it! Gorgeous. Thanks to you Ive started using facings now as a real game changer to the" finish" of my garments. I use your tips all the time and I "hear your voice" as I try to skip basting:-)) - no, no no Karina would not like that so off I go and baste and always Im happier that I took the extra time. Thank you for all you do for us. xx
I love how you give tips on how to work things around not having enough fabric. So often we have a bit of leftover thats not quite enough to do anything with, but way too much to throw away. Both of your tops came out lovely. The neckband really changed the look of it.
What interesting tops and how lovely to see yours! Do you think there's a way of adding sleeves with that facing? That would be a bonus for those of us in cooler clImates.
This type of facing is only for sleeveless. For a sleeved garment, you just use a regular facing that only involves the neckline. To add sleeves, you’d need another knit pattern with similar ease that has sleeves and you could transfer that armhole to this pattern and then use the sleeve of that other pattern.
Thanks for sharing this cute neckline yank. Also I love seeing what your background is going look like. The small changes and light changes are so fun.
Very nice instructional video Karina. I got an email about this pattern today from Itch to Stitch and knew you’d have a video on it. I love this pattern for summer 😍👍
It’s an excellent tip! Expensive here too, at almost $5 a metre at our Spotlight fabric stores. I used to get it from Amazon but shipping has gone up to starting around $15 and up since COVID, way too pricey.
Great makes Karina, they look lovely. I love the look of this top. I just wish it was woven. I'm not crazy about knits. You are finishing your serger the same way I do.
The Sentosa tank is available in sizes 00-40US and has a regular & full bust option. It's 20% off through the 5th of June 2022. This is my affiliate link: itch-to-stitch.com/product/sentosa-tank-digital-sewing-pattern-pdf?affiliates=218
Great video as always with beautiful garments. The red one is so lovely. Great idea about the bands! What do you think about lowering the neckline about 1/2"? I think it may be more flattering on me if I do that. I hope your husband and son are soon well.
I love this top. In the process of doing the neck facing. Due to the seam tape l am finding it very bulky when turned to the correct size. Any advice would be great.
I was going to make my own but was advised it wouldn't be strong enough. Bought some from a well known sewing shop in UK who said it was suitable for the fabric. Should have gone with my own instinct. I don't think l can remove it without stretching the fabric. Never mind

I love the red one the most. Both are great!
I love this pattern. My first one the knit was to thin. I am now making anew one from double brushed knit.
I also like the symmetric neckline. This is lovely.
Genius on the bands. Beautiful tops. 😍
Thank you :)

I did get the newsletter :) This is a pattern I have not made because it’s one of the older ones.
beautiful Karina
Thank you so much :)

Beautiful garments. You have always been so good at showing details and your blog continues to improve. Your efforts are appreciated.
Very pretty. I love the red on you.
Thank you!
I watched your video on sewing a dress shirt. Tried using the blind hem foot for edge stitching and it was so awesome. Thank you
That foot is a game changer :)
Very pretty!
Thank you! Cheers!

Another great make. I am not confident enough to try PDF patterns yet so I wont be making it - it is a goal though
Beautiful tops, loved the red one! Thanks sooo much for sharing your knowledge!❤️❤️❤️

Glad it was helpful! I love a good tank :)
Good idea to replace stay tape because it is really expensive here in Canada.
I could not buy it, even if I wanted to. They just don't sell it here at all.

I've been looking for this style in a woven and I'm sure I can create it with some dart manipulation :)

In description you have 20% off through to May 5. I assume it should be June 5?
Yes. oops :)

Maybe your seam tape is too heavy? I just use light weight interfacing I cut myself.

I think you mean it’s on sale through June 5th.
Yep. My tired eyes played a trick on me. It’s correct in the description box :)
