  • Welcome back, Movie Masters! I'm currently on holiday, so I don't have my usual UA-cam setup or backdrop. Today, I'm excited to talk about the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, second generation. The first generation was called Meta Stories.
The glasses come in a really cool case that can charge the glasses up to five to eight times, depending on usage. I'll share the pros and cons of my experience and give you a closer look at how they work. They come in a nice leather case with a charging light indicator.
When you put them on, they instantly connect to your phone via Bluetooth. I'm using the Samsung Z Flip 5. The glasses are thinner compared to the original models and look like traditional Ray-Ban Wayfarers. They come in different models and sizes, with major improvements in camera quality, stabilization, and audio.
You can open apps like Spotify and control playback with touch gestures on the glasses. Tap once to play/pause, or swipe to adjust the volume. You can take pictures or record videos using a button on the side or voice commands like "Hey, Meta, take a photo" or "Hey, Meta, take a video." A light indicator shows when the camera is recording for privacy reasons.
The glasses can also answer questions about your surroundings and location. For example, "Hey, Meta, what am I looking at?" or "Hey, Meta, where am I?" They can send messages via voice commands, though the accuracy can vary.
For a closer look, the glasses have a side button for power. To recharge, place them back in the case, close it, and the case will start recharging them. You can also go live on platforms like Instagram using the smart glasses feature.
The audio quality is decent, with good volume control via swiping. The glasses cost me 329 euros, which is about 500 Australian dollars or 330 US dollars. They are great for navigating maps without constantly looking at your phone. Just be mindful of privacy and avoid wearing a hat to prevent obstructing the camera view.
If you enjoyed this review, please hit the like and subscribe button. Let me know in the comments if you own them, what you think, or if you're waiting for generation three. So far, I think they are worth the money and I'm enjoying them. Let's see how long until I lose them. Thanks for watching and see you next time!

Got tired of the dithering and watching all the attention signaling with nose ring, tatts, etc. Next.
