As an American, I had no idea Guy Pearce is from Oz. He's an incredible actor. This is about the tenth person that I found out was not American on this show. I've tried to use an Aussie accent for years and years but it's impossible, starts out like a drunken Scotsman and devolves into Southern Mexican. It's a nightmare. LOL

I always find OP's (other people's) attempts to do an Aussie accent somewhere between funny and bizarre! A lot of OPs don't seem to realise that, as in other countries, we do have regional accents.

And this is why us Aussies are different to almost everyone else on earth. A Hollywood actress talking casually about removing poisonous snakes which are protected species so we can't kill them, with her mum's help in a way like as if you take a cat out. You won't get it until you get here
Snakes aren't poisonous (unless you eat them), they're venomous, and pythons definitely aren't venomous, champ.

I used to feed the goannas around the camps when I was cooking for the crews to eat the brown snakes eggs and keep them away.

My fondest memory of my dad was when at primary school when our teacher saw a snake underneath the front stairs where we all climbed up in the morning to enter the school. Took buck shots with a double rifle to kill it! He did not kill it. That afternoon someone saw that snake again. My day just came saw it was a brown snake and whipped it like a whip and broke its back! Now I feel sorry for the poor snake but back then I was so proud of my dad!
