You & Johnny, Inspired me to start reselling august 2024. Started wuth £30 at carbot now hit £500 in sales....Jan 2025 Its hardwork but amazing🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 You two guys are fab & have watched all videos. Would love to meet you two one day!!
Great videos as always mate. Ive often thought about setting up an ebay account to sell some bits and pieces and find things in charity shops etc and being a regular viewer of your channel definitely inspires me to want to do it. Keep up the great work mate 👍
I do it alongside my job to make a few hundred extra a month to do more things with the kids and not just be spending on bills. Love sourcing and selling and hopeful to do it full time eventually.
Hi Jay, loved rewatching this, you are one of the youtubers who encouraged me to give reselling a go, although its still very much a hobby I really enjoy it and I would very much like to take it to the next level, alongside my job as we are finding it harder and harder each month to get by due to the cost of living ever increasing. I have learnt so much from your videos, and really enjoy watching them, anyway just wanted to say a big thank you and keep the videos coming!
I remember the alleyway 😀 I think five years ago with lockdown the market was strong and very different. I remember making cards for cash for items kept me busy locally virtually daily trips within a mile.
Great video glad see im not the only one that treats it as a hobby, being on the spectrum i would flip from expensive hobby to the next but this time reselling is making me money instead of costing and i get to mess about with alot of cool stuff as i list and sell it. Keep up the great work.
I remember this video, you helped me start with £20, I hit the bootsale and get to the bug for reselling part time. Like you say you learn along the way. You’ve done amazing 👌🏻😉 PS your hair looks much nicer short. Did you sell the Trump portrait from back then ? I bet you’re happy he’s back 🙌🏻😊
Congratulations on passing 25k! You'll be to 30k soon. One question for you. I notice that when you approach sellers' booths or tables, you don't bother to get their attention before asking a question out loud. Even when the sellers are engaged with other customers, you still say, "How much you got on this?" Is it not standard behavior to get a seller's attention before asking them questions? Might just be part of the culture to yell questions before sellers know they're the ones being asked--? I've watched dozens of yoru videos, and sellers often have no idea you're even talking to them. LOL.
@@clieb5811 how else should I start the purchasing conversation without asking for the price out the gate. I’m just curious what you would suggest. I could say hello but again if they didn’t know I was talking to them before why would hello help. Maybe I could wave at them or stand right in front of them before I speak. 🤷♂️ lemme know , thanks 🙏🏻
@@FlippingSloth So it sounds as if them knowing who is asking the question isn't so important in these situations. Got it. It was a genuine question--wasn't sure how it was supposed to work, but I suppose if it works, it works.
@@FlippingSloth I mean, when you are at a sit-down restaurant, do you shout your order across the room before the server is at your table? I would guess not. You wait until the server is at your table and knows it's you who is ordering. Similarly here, I'd make eye contact first and hold the item up or point to it before asking how much they "got on" an item. But genuinely, if what you do works for you (and it does), keep doing it. Listening to the peanut gallery on UA-cam won't help you buy more things. :)
@ I mean comparing a restaurant with table service to a busy carboot sale is kinda strange but okay. Maybe you just need to visit a sale for yourself and see what you end up doing and then report back to me on your findings. 👍🏻
I want to do this as a full time job now as been dabbling for nearly 20yrs off and on but haven’t a clue how to do the book keeping side of it with buying off car boot sales with no receipts and who i need to contact to make it all legit … any advice please 👍
@@joannehiley3640 sorry I’m not allowed to advise on taxes. If your worried please seek help from an accountant 👍🏻 they usually do a free first consultation anyway

@ it wasn’t meant to be cheeky. I actually like your videos. But you did ask if we learned anything. Any man that can buy that many hoovers is a legend. As I said didn’t learn anything from this video but watching your video never heard of meilie hoovers. Was selling at Bootsale and guy took one out. I asked how much he said fiver. Sold on marketplace for 90. Could have got more online but I canny do bulky items. 😂😂😂
