It's a shame they made so many changes for worse. This stair tool is so much better, two velour strips to pick up hair, can twist so you can basically vacuum under furniture. New models have awful stair tools in my opinion. New models have suction vent on the bottom of the bin, so when you empty it, some dust literally falls into chamber where's suction coming from. It results in dust being sucked into motor, post filter. I dont know if it's cause I used old machines, but hose also much easier to use. Stretches to easily. New models even after 4 years of use stil have hoses that are really hard to use
Still using my DC-14! Only thing is the hose got holes in it, got a replacement about 5 years ago and now it has holes. Also a part fall out of it somewhere which had a spring on it, dont know what it is for as its not affecting its performance! Not using it as much now, less carpet in the house, just use for bedrooms, but still going well.
