Imagine, the mermaid brings fishes to the speaker like cats bring dead mices.
If I were a mermaid, brother I'd be bringing this man fish everyday. Wouldn't even care how tiring it was, I want to go fishing/hunting for him. I know porridge and bread would get very boring, I want to change it up a bit for him😭

Also, when this lighthouse keeper started talking about his brother who was apparently lured to his death by a siren, I immediately thought of a story I read once. I really like that story, so definitely a nice touch.

Slowburn where the mermaid gets better and leaves but then comes back bc she misses him and they fall in love and - GASP - yeah.
Or come back for a chat and bring him some fresh fish or other goodies from the sea to augment his carb heavy diet.
i love the way you add that backsound when the lighthouse keeper trying to figure out what is the listener :O really escalated the mysterious atmospher AND this audio is lowkey wholesome! a lonely grumpy old man that got a totally different kind of friend just sounds sweet

As his question the Merman I could just imagine the Listener just trying to drink Porridge like it tea. And the doe eyes is the fact that he burned his mouth and has not been hearing what his been saying.
Loved the tense music when talking about his brother that was a nice touch.

I've been getting more and more into siren lore and imagery, especially when paired with (the pain of) harsh modernity and loneliness, so, this was completely up my alley. Thank you so much for this :D
I like him. And honestly I used to love pretending to be a mermaid in the pool whenever I would go swimming. Heck I still love kicking my legs like that. And I like that grumpy old man. Also about his brother, it made me want to say " I'm not a siren. Sirens and Mermaids are two entirely different creatures. Sirens are half woman/half bird that allures sailors to their deaths with their voices. Mermaids are like me, half human/half fish but I'm harmless. I didn't kill your brother."
Just had a health scare with chest pains and numbness, though it was probably a pinched nerve in my arm causing a flare up of my chronic pain in the area.
But seeing this has now made my day anyway, and it's amazing as always. Also, genuinely thought it was about to turn dark when he talks about his brother's death. Like, I thought we'd go through more interrogation, but I'm glad it ended up wholesome. Warms my hurting heart and made me smile and laugh. Plus, this is even better since tomorrow's my birthday.
Also, just an idea for a one-shot of something, "chronic pain comfort" is something I look for and don't see much of that are M4A or M4M. Keep up the amazing voice work, and I also hope you're got better from being sick.
