I would have thought orange drinks would have been around a lot earlier than that. Very interesting story. As kids, we would get oranges, apples, and assorted nuts in our stockings.

I really enjoyed learning about the origin of the orange. Now you know why you got those things is your stockings!!

I've dug a few embossed Bireley's and always wondered about them so this was very interesting. Another great episode! Thanks so much for sharing the work you do.

Wow! What can I say?! Thank you!
This was very interesting and surprising for so many reasons.
For years I've enjoyed the song Alexander the Swoose, the Les Brown and Doris Day version in particular. Despite being a warbird fan since childhood I never knew there was a well known B-17 with that moniker, awesome! The way it all ties in with the story, what a fascinating interconnected web.
The bottle I found is the tall traditional beverage style, the one that wouldn't fit into the vending machine.
I appreciated too the backstory on the orange itself and how it made it's way into the Western World.
    Great stuff! Thank you Brandy!

Yeah i found a lot of interesting things in this story, the origins of the orange was very interesting, and i didnt know that about swoosie kurtz, that she was named after a plane! That was a lot of fun! Thanks for the suggestion!
