I remember a time that presidents were required to be medically and mentally fit in order to hold the office. It wasn't an option, it was a requirement. If they keep him in the race I will not vote for him, he is not medically fit to serve.
No. That has never been a requirement for the presidency. Good health and mental fitness have not been a concern for the American people partly because the media didn't expose their issues like they are doing now. Research a few of the presidents. Many of them had serious problems.
@@lydiaedwards8100It is in the 25th Amendment that the president has to be mentally competent to serve, AND that congress can invoke it and revoke his presidency and VP will takeover. Which is what should happen in my opinion. The question isn’t only about physical strength, but mental and social competency. He couldn’t formulate sensible arguments at times when even Trump wouldn’t interrupt for minutes because Biden was making no sense. Presidents back then usually had physical issues. Mental competency is a much bigger deal.
