Wuwa has one big problem, and that is the fact that as a mobile game it runs like shit on mobile devices. ZZZ is very easy and fun (once you get into it) to play on a daily basis on a mobile device, and for this reason i think it will end up above Wuwa in the end. Not necessarily because its a better game, but because more people will have access to playing it on a daily basis without any hassle.
It can be said that Wutherin Waves doesn't have as much marketing and that doesn't help it and to make matters worse, the Chinese are such fans of hoyoverse that it doesn't matter if their games are as bad as Zzz is, which by the way...
WuWa is actually killing itself tbh. Bad optimization and storytelling. Also the pace is fast but updates every 6 weeks. Updates also contain few content so after the first week of patch, it's dry season for the next 5 weeks. I'm a Union 55 WuWa player by the way so all my points come from my experience playing the game.

WuWa recently improve their loading on title screen, make it loads 50% faster and even 75% for some players. and that's a really good thing. i still remember d-1 WuWa, the game force close every 10 minutes for me. so i drop the game for a week, and the issue has been fixed for me. and now we are expecting a release for consoles too. that maybe sucks for some mobile players, i admit. but the game released in 2024, with different engine. so we can't expect and compare WuWa first experience optimization with the game that got released back in '20.

If you also do some math behind how many pulls it takes to max a character on both games, it takes 2060 pulls worse case scenario to max a character on ZZZ and 1200 for WW at worst case + 2 dupes in the shop you can buy. This includes weapon as well. Now if 1000 ppl whales for both, any hoyo game would be at the top due to their monetization. 100% weapon banner makes it way cheaper to max stuff as opposed to a 75/25. Less pulls needed.
Any game without Hoyo's monetization that's not generous will never beat their revenue unless they themselves becomes more greedy like DFO making 100m a month.

I personally find Hoyo games to be real stingy when it comes to currency and pulls. There is always a high high but once you run out you will really feel it. I felt that way with HSR and Genshin, HSR did far better in terms of generosity and pulls than Genshin.
I think kuro did good now, i don't think kuro need to compete too much with hoyo. Hoyo is very big company now and have a huge fanbase, so the game they made alway have bigger revenue is no surprise. And with kuro their company way smaller and have smaller fanbase most of kuro fan come from PGR. So in my opinion if wuwa revenue is in top 1-20 i think it do pretty good now. No need to compete so much with hoyo , i just want they do best with their game and listen to their fan and improve their game better is enough for me.

In zzz defense it's 1.0 patch a lot of people will try and pull characters regardless standard or limited, what is concerning how they will handle future updates to me it's ok if the game not performing as big as GI nor HSR, its more manageable both dev and player to monitoring the game

well i think WuWas characters animations pretty good actually, and cutscenes decent. but yeah if u compare to zzz, its hard to tell that in WuWa is everything great. Only well explained person is Jinshi, maybe tiger boy and thats it. All other just surface level knowing. But im still playing both WuWa and ZZZ for now, and i believe they will be even better in future.

I tried loving ZZZ but it's not it. I reached level 27, I keep giving myself benefit of the doubt for not enjoying the game just to keep playing. It feels all over the place with dailies, tv's, arcade, progression and combat as if it doesn't know where to focus. The characters look so cartoony visually and animation wise, the amount of kids and furries in the game weird me out. I still prefer Wuwa over ZZZ despite the issues because its core gameplay and graphics is just way better. There's no doubt UE4 is not optimize compared to Unity but it provides better graphics in return. It's no surprise if ZZZ outsells Wuwa because it's easier and more accessible.
I doubt it will keep up. It never hit Wuthering's peak and is already gonna be going lower than wuthering waves and star rail. It wasn't a very good game.

I don’t see why they’re comparing them though, yes they’re gacha, but different styles of games. Genshin and WuWa do fall under the same category.

Then ZZZs units like Lucy, Piper and Qingyi look way too young to me personally for the clothing they have, I think they’re even supposed to be adults and one is AI. It just isn’t right for me, the same goes for Yunli from HSR, I don’t think her clothing is appropriate for being 14. Maybe that explains a bit more the dislike for ZZZs choices over the small girls.

I never said I didn’t like ZZZ, I play both games everyday. I just said I PREFER WuWa’s characters design over the excessive quantity of lolis from ZZZ, specially since most adult looking units are 5 stars in ZZZ.

@@Antri-jd9jy ah my bad, I received it pretty negatively yeah. I think it’s the way the small units behave and look. Verina and Encore act like little girls and are innocent like Clara and Klee. Then ZZZs units like Lucy, Piper and Qingyi look way too young to me personally for the clothing they have, I think they’re even supposed to be adults and one is AI. It just isn’t right for me, the same goes for Yunli from HSR, I don’t think her clothing is appropriate for being 14. Maybe that explains a bit more the dislike for ZZZs choices over the small girls.

@Echozies ehhh wuwa better, in my opinion. Zzz hits feels like scratches oppose to wuwa you feel the heavy attacks. And the ultimate animations are far better. There's no questioning that.
@@Echozies Animation is cutscenes sure, but the combat animations though I give to WuWa. Gameplay mechanics hands down goes to WuWa, it has a lot more freedom and depth to its combat. ZZZ's combat is very on rails, simplistic, and linear in comparison.

@@codesterz3399 i think the opposite. combat wise they pretty much similar, but for me in zzz is more freedom. because in wuwa u have to charge concerto energy in order to trigger outro intro skills wich forces u to stay on a unit untill u charge it. on zzz part there no charging, so u can swap any time and do more swap cancels that in wuwa, plus there a quick assits that makes rotations even better. and your descriptions tells me that u just played beginning of zzz. and wuws doesnt have elemental reactions, while in zzz they exist. and they pretty strong
