Just ordered mine! Been longing for manual focus on my fujifilm cameras as I have been using zone focusing and guesstimating distances for 20 years which is so much faster than any autofocus in the world because the focus is set correctly even before you bring the camera to your eye. Thanks for a great walkthrough, review and beautiful images!
I normally shoot landscapes with zooms but I like to use some old Pentax M series primes sometimes. I'm always surprised how good they still are. Nice to see some companies are still making new manual focus lenses.
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Yeah, zoom lenses are convenient for most cases. But as you say, sometimes prime lenses are equally a great option and old lenses show their unique personality in different situations. Ciao :)
I have all 3 TTartisan for Fuji, 17, 35 and 50. Good value and fun. Definitely not perfect but if used like a film lens, it provides for an enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t replace Fuji lens with this lens but it is a fun addition to a Fuji lens.
I was waiting on this video when I saw this lens on your instagram! Thank Andrea for the review of this lens which presents really cool. I should buy it and try also ;)
Hi Dominik, thanks for the comment and glad it was helpful. If you like manual focusing and you don't wanna spend a bunch of hundred dollars, for that price it's a fun lens to use. Ciao :)
Usually I shoot with the 16-80 f4. It has all the distances that I need. Also I have the 7artisans 25mm f1. 8. That's good enough for less than 70€. Yesterday I ordered the ttartisan. Both lenses are to learn and play with the camera. I prefer to buy a better lens when I'll find my favourite focal lengt. Thanks for this review.
Hi, thanks for the comment. Yeah, some FD lenses are absolutely lovely. They suffer a bit more in terms of flare, CA and diffraction, but for some uses they are wonderful to play with. An FD on the GFX50R? That's crazy :) Ciao
Hi Mika, thanks for the comment, and glad you found the video useful. About your issue, you need to enable the ‘Shoot without Lens’ option in the menu under ‘BUTTON/DIAL SETTING’ sub-menu in the SETUP menu. Ciao :)
Nice video! Thanks for you content. One question: it is not clear to me if at minute 5:35 you use this 35mm or the fuji 10-24, since both appear in the description. Thanks again!
Hi Franco, glad you enjoyed the video. Ouch, that's a typo, I had not noticed that. Thanks for pointing that out. Anyway, the short clip is filmed with the TTArtisan 35mm. Ciao :)
Literally this is the review I was looking for, perfectly explained and tested on XT4. I came across this lense on the cheap lenses side of youtube and when I heard it only costs 80$ I was happy until I realised, it's more than my whole salary.. lol good luck, nice video 🙏
Hi Ricardo, glad you enjoyed it! Even though the lens has a couple of downsides (CA and flare),, yeah, I had a lot of fun with this lens. Thanks so much for commenting and stopping by :) Ciao
Ciao Alberto, grazie mille! Vivo a Venezia ma viaggio abbastanza 😄 Proprio lo scorso Settembre ho avuto tre clienti dal Texas, e mi hanno parlato un bel po’ delle bellezze del loro paese. Ciao 😃

Great video mate. I've just started to get vintage glass for my fuji. Would be good to check out some more of these modern lenses!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the video. Vintage lenses are so fun to use, and with some lenses the results are quite astonishing. Ciao 😃
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto I'm making a video about vintage lenses at the moment!
Hey which one should i get 7Artisans 35mm F1.4 or TT Artisans 35mm 1.4 or 7artisans 50mm F1.8 for portraits, Fashion and versatile lens?
nice to see you using a Canon 50mm FD lens :-)
I use one on my X-T4 and on my GFX50R and find the results quite remarkable in an analogue sort of way.

I'm about to pick up a 50mm 1.8 Canon fd. Can't wait to test it out!
i got the ssc micro 3.5 50mm
It’s is a very good lens. I have the XF 35 1.4 and the ttartisan is pretty close to the XF lens actually.
Yep, for the price you pay it’s a lovely lens. Ciao :)
How much difference do you feel there is between them?
How do you get pension? Or where?
Great video! I just attached the lens to my xt4 however it won’t let me video or take a photo do you happen to know why?

@@AndreaLivieriPhotoUfff really? I swore it was the XF. It looks amazing! Did you film it in 10 bit?
Yep, f-log 10bit

Hi Nekud, glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for the comment :) Ciao
Your reviews are good.
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
Cool intro 👍
Thank you!
Any focus breathing?
There is a slight lens breathing, but it's really mitigated.
Awesome review! I was waiting from the review since your announce on Instagram!

Is this a 35mm equivalent focal length, or closer to a 50?
It’s a 34.5mm
34.5mm but due to APS-C its closer to 52mm
Prefer this or meike 35mm f1.4?
Never tried the meike
Ciao Andrea, ottimo video. Abiti in US o viaggi? Io abito ad Austin TX. -Alberto
