I'm listening to this and I litteraly teary-eyed , I feel so seen. ❤ I've been diagnosed with adhd but still I don't want to take medication to change who I am to fit in a box. There must be a reason why I was made that way.
I am the scanner type and it`s amazing that you just sounded my thoughts, which have been bugging me for quite a while. I feel that 8/5 is not my cup of tea at all, so I am seeking the creative freedom path while having to make do with my office job. Thank you for the fine, comprehensive videos: listening to like-minded person on topics that resonate with me while practicing English - is just a win-win!
Thank you soooooo much for this video!!! I now know, I am a scanner. lol!! I think both of my sons may be scanners also. I've ordered the book and looking forward to seeing what tips it can give me.
Really insightful video, Darya! Thank you for summing up this book with all these strategies and techniques for making sense and organising our multi-interest (and interesting) lives! 😊
You are very welcome! I have 2 videos on this topic: 1) ua-cam.com/video/jgeEeHG-QUA/v-deo.html 2) ua-cam.com/video/JYaL1FVsupM/v-deo.html If you're interested in anything in particular, let me know and I might make a new video!
I read this book over 10 years ago and actually want to read it again! I really think it’s helped me even though I’m still not sure what I want to do long term. I am definitely a scanner and btw I’m pretty sure the author named one of the types “Sybil” because there was a book with the same name about a woman with multiple personality disorder. It seems like Barbara Scher played on this idea “ of someone being different people at different times”.
Great info, thank you so much for sharing! It makes sense now! I found the Wikipedia article, here's the link in case anyone is interested: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sybil_(Schreiber_book)
I was sequecing to sooo many things since graduation (maybe 5% of all the other things I _thought_ I'd pursue after grad), but 4 years later I met film producing and I LOVED it at first try! Nice to see it actually is recommended :D Love this content. You kinda were a consultant in this video - lifestyle and personal organization maybe? Thanks for sharing. I will try and read the book [one day] :)
In this age where so many people are offering lifestyle coaching, I always feel like it'd be a scam to teach what I assume everybody knows - which is not true! I often realize we all don't have exactly the same knowledge and skills. So that could be a possibility 😊 Thank you 🙏🏼 Glad you found your thing! And in case you don't get to read the book - don't worry, I think I did a pretty solid synopsis 😎😄
I can definitely relate to the scanner personality type. So many of the traits you shared about yourself resonate with me as well. I'm constantly trying to learn new things and I'm always looking for the next challenge. Most people think I struggle to finish my projects but I'm just trying to do what makes me happy and feel the need to give up any job or task that doesn't bring me joy. I'm glad to find I'm not the only one. 🥰💕
If you were ever interested in learning textile and surface pattern design, my first class is now on Skillshare: skl.sh/3vvrrdP

Glad you enjoyed the video!! 🤗🤗
I finally know what kind of person I am, a scanner! So insightful. I won't buy the book, like a scanner, I know enough already from your review😄
I covered the best bits 😄
Thank you Darya, for posting this message

This is so relatable to me, I am not a textile person at all, but I will subscribe because I like your video!

Isn't it the best feeling?! So glad it resonated with you! Barbara was a really cool person, I love this system of hers.
Same!!!!
😂 If I am interested in something, I just need to do it 😅. You are right on point.
It is called multiple passionates. You don’t have to choose. Once you start to do it, the least important one will fall side way.
Easy peasy 😎😄
What type of scanner are you? And what is your biggest reward? 👀
High-speed Indecisive and Jack of all trades here. My biggest rewards are happiness and freedom 😊
