Great review, I am currently awaiting the GT2 Pro as here in the UK at least it has been reduced in price to £179 with an option of a free gift on top. The current choice is one from the following list: Huawei smart scales, some sort of electric toothbrush, a Huawei speaker thing or smart lamp. I am looking forward to putting it through its paces when it arrives in the next few days. Going to subscribe now as I appreciate your honesty and presentation style 👍👍
Hi, I really like both these watches. Please can you tell me what battery life is like for both under the same conditions?? I plan to use continuous heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, track steps, exercise (mainly long walks a few times a week), notifications for SMS only, answer calls (urgent/emergencies). As long as I get at least 7 days I will be happy. The Huawei GT2 Pro is £60 more than the Amazfit GTR 2 (here in the UK) but I think it's worth it for the premium material & look. The ceramic back should be better for anyone who suffers from allergies (I used to get rashes from my galaxy watch 46mm). Also I've read very recently Huawei is now supporting 3rd party app (12 so far) for the GT2 Pro, I've seen one (Mood messenger for Android) that allows you to respond to SMS from the watch!! Last feature puts the Huawei GT 2 pro ahead for me unless it's battery life is really bad compared to the Amazfit GTR 2.
makes sense to compare mi watch with amazfit GTR 2e , not to GTR 2. Because it is the same function and price watch. Gtr2 - much expensive, more function I've never need :). I bought mi watch for father , very nice watch, good battery life 12-15 days +- , in my opinion and compare mi watch have much more juicy and brighter display than GTR2 and 2e, it may seem strange but it is a fact if you compare them one to one

Hi, yes both is working fine. The Amazfit have serious problems. I'm happy with the gt2 however it's a bit slow compared to my girlfriend gt 2 pro but at least they are working so no complain👍
I hesitated between these two watches and took the Amazfit, just because of the design! Incredibly elegant design, probably the most beautiful I've seen.

Mihail tried his best to portray GTR2 as a worthy competitor. GTR2's customer reviews and other UA-cam reviews tells other story. I went for Huawei GT2 Pro for accuracy and build quality. My take is "do less but do quality".
Based on what I have seen, I tend to partly disagree with your review. You give a point to the GTR2 for workouts because it integrates with Strava, but you also mention that the GPS is a bit of a hit and miss on the GTR2. What good is Strava when GPS failed to correctly record your workout location? Also you say that both watches can make phone calls, but later on you say that the GTR can actually only receive calls, which for me is a big negative. I mostly agree with the rest of the review.
Hey Christian - it is always good to discuss these reviews! Thanks for your comment. I think the GTR2's GPS inaccuracy is ignorable - 5 or 6 meters (at most!) aren't a huge dealbreaker. And true about the phone calls. Overall - I feel like the GT2 Pro phone calls experience is a lot better.

I was leaning towards the GT2 pro until I found out that the Huawei doesn't have a calendar app. Such a basic app missing. So now I'm leaning towards the Garmin Venu 2 which also provides an option to use spotify.
That's a good idea, if calendar and Spotify are priority. The other alternative is something WearOS based, but - it will have worse battery performance.
Hey man nice video... I'm using redmi note 8 pro and planning on huawei gt2 pro... Only problem is does it have low resolution.. I prefer smoother resolution.... Also which is better trex pro or gt2 pro
The GT2 Pro has overall good resolution. You won't notice large pixels or something. As for the T-Rex bs GT2 Pro - they are two very different devices. T-Rex is rugged and with focus on sports. GT2 Pro is very elegant, and more of a business-style watch. WIth some good sports options too, of course.
@@TechMishka I want a regular watch for my office purpose and also for health and activity tracking... Is gt2 pro compatible.... Also, does screen lag while using it... Can u compare it's resolution with others... Also should I buy this or gt3. Thank you...
Michael another sugestión is to compare the HUAWEI GT 2 pro with the new Amazfit GTR 3 pro. Although I have seen that the heart rate track for Amazfit devices really is BAD. Not even in running or cycling. Thanks
Hi, I want to ask you about GTR 2. Could you set custom always on faces? Or are there only 2 options for always on display (analogue and digital) and you cannot change their style?
A near perfect review of the GT2 Pro. My only criteria for a smartwatch is its AOD visiblity in direct sunlight. how bright is the GT2 Pro's always on display under broad daylight? Does the adaptive brightness also work on AOD mode like the ticwatches or its like the Samsung devices with a fixed AOD brightness which is pretty useless until you turn on the screen with a gesture or by pressing the button. I'm asking you since you touched upon this aspect in the video...the way GT2 Pro handles AoD. None of the reviews on UA-cam does it. Waiting for your response to place my order.
@@TechMishka Hi sir, could you kindly let me know if I can consider GT2 pro or newly launched Amazfit GTR3 pro. My considerations are battery, sensor accuracy and Bluetooth calling. Awaiting your reply. Thanks.
I have an I-phone 12 so as my research goes the clear winner for usage is the amazfit … Does anyone have any info on the Amazfit GTR 3 coming out soon ???
That Huawei watches only somewhat connect to an I-phone . It was important to me to be able to answer a call which u can’t do as well as getting music on the watch from an I-phone . I do love my Amazfit GTR although I haven’t figured out how to get my music on there yet but I haven’t really sat down & tried yet to be honest
I'm gonna say anything about the gte because I never had it but I will tell you something about the gt2 pro and the ticwarch pro 3 gps because I have also have it. Now if you want elegance and battery life you go for the gt2 pro. For every other things go for the ticwatch.
Unfortunately the GT2 Pro also has a major problem with the step count. One that Huawei haven't fixed. A 3m walk to the bathroom from my bedroom was anything between no steps to 150. Many are having this issue.
I'm using Amazfit GTR from a year and a half and I hate it. Overall is decent watch, but a lot of small things are not working a they should. For example, the always on display is totally useless on direct sunlight and it's too bright in dark environment. GT 2 Pro seems like a great watch, but not a fan of the titanium frame. Wonder if the newly announced OnePlus Watch is going to get any closer the those two watches. I guess time will tell.
Hey Georgi - thanks for sharing all that. Maybe I can help with some ofthem. Always ON is never great with AMOLED screens. I doubt Oneplus have come up with something good enough - but we shall see.
It seems that OnePlus rushed his watch. So far most of the reviews are negative, mainly because it has a lot software gliches. It's lacking AoD too. It's a no go for now I guess.
@@FaithoverFear660 hi, no problems but the GPS in the city of Buenos Aires is very bad, in open fields runs well, the quality and materials are excellent, the battery and multitasking is the best. Regards!
Hi UnSwka! I own the GT2 Pro. There are 6 Always-on displays available, all ofthem are pretty good, actually. Please note that if you select the AOD, then the Raise to wake gets disabled automatically, so you need either to tap the screen or to press one of the buttons to get the fully fledged watchface. I am using my watch with AOD. Hate the raise to wake function. I get 5-6 days out of it, just as Tech4All says (great video BTW!). Hope I helped, buddy ;)
I think you definitely mistaked about battery life. I bought both gtr2 and gt2pro, and compared them. Gt2pro lives 2weeks, and gtr2 is just 1 week (used similar way).
The best comparison...only two things, I thought a bit unfair for the Huawei, coz u put the Pro version which is more expensive than the classic one and in reality if compared with the classic it's the same or cheaper price (Honor version) as the GTR 2. Also, the GPS from huawei is much better than Amazfit, it's faster n more precise. Now they had an upgrade which u can share ur activities in strava too.
Thanks for the kind words! I do agree - the GT2 (non pro) could also have been here! As for Strava - as far as I know - it is not yet part of the app. You probaly refer to the new sync app that helps?
Ok I'm confused between the normal Huawei GT 2 and amazfit gtr 2, any recommendations? Both are pretty much same price in the country I'm buying from tho, around 165$
I gambled with GTR 2 and connect it to my iphone. 1. Cannot use any watchfaces from the store (downloaded via Zepp). The watchface distorted 2. Caller ID not shown when receiving calls Anyone has a fix to these? High appreciated it!
@@Hooligan112 I have GT2 Pro and yes the speaker and mic are water resistant. This is from the Huawei site; 5 ATM water-resistant *Devices complying with the 5ATM-rated water have a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that they may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean.
HEY! so I have just bought the Amazfit GTR 2 and I absolutely love it but it only lasts me 3 days as I workout every day and I use it to track my fitness and I want an all round watch. with all its features it lasts me 3 days. Considering its unimpressive battery im currently looking at the GT2 PRO I wanted to know with all its tracking features on and using it every day for fitness how long does it last please help me out!
I just received mine today. After setting up the only thing I can see is a circle with a blue arrow hand. Cannot hard reset. App does not work. The parent company’s primary focus is health data. POS in my humble opinion. Goes back to Amazon tomorrow.
GT2 Pro Wireless charging working with OnePlus device??? I have read from the official site, wireless charging supported only with Huawei mobile device.
For me the biggest win on the Huawei is Sapphire glass and a titanium case and ceramic back. Makes for a watch that should weather well. I am sure there are a lot of cheaper watches that will not survive long. I replaced the band with a steel band and it just feels good on the wrist.
If you own a Huawei phone you may try health sync app. Personally I have tried the CTHRU/HITRAVA scripts to the data request performed from Huawei health and seems to be working fine. Although I assume that the request my data approach cannot be used frequently (something like once in a month).
Would definitely go for the Huawei this time, the design, better screen and overall more premium device are worth the extra money in my opinion. If I had other choices, for that price, I would definitely go for a smartwatch with a real OS and app store like one of the Ticwatches! Thanks again for the detailed video!
Ticwatch 3 pro battery lasts 3-4days only...Galaxy watch 1.5 days. Thats unnaceptable even if we know those are "true smartwatches" with full eange of functionality and own apps.
Call me a Huawei Fanboy, but I can't give up on it. But the Ticwatch 3 is also great. So is the Galaxy Watch 3. Main thing is to get to like a concept/OS. To me battery life is essential - so the choice is easy.

That's a good idea, if calendar and Spotify are priority. The other alternative is something WearOS based, but - it will have worse battery performance.
I have listened some news about boot issues in gtr 2 amazfit.. is it true sir.. should i go for gtr 2 as its cheaper than hwawie..
Never had such on my end.
Great review Michael. Could you compare the GT 2 pro vs Galaxy Watch 3
Sure thing! Will add it to my list, I just cannot promise when and if. But definitely a great idea.
A little bit late but great review as always :)
Glad you liked it!
Michael another sugestión is to compare the HUAWEI GT 2 pro with the new Amazfit GTR 3 pro. Although I have seen that the heart rate track for Amazfit devices really is BAD. Not even in running or cycling. Thanks
Will be interesting to try it out. Let me see when I can include it in the schedule, Ismael. Thanks for the idea!
What do you think the winner will be? Gtr 3 pro or gt2 pro?
Hi, I want to ask you about GTR 2. Could you set custom always on faces? Or are there only 2 options for always on display (analogue and digital) and you cannot change their style?
You can set "analog", "Digital", or "from watchface" - which is always different
Thanks for the help, David.
Hey Kiran, thanks for the comment and the questions.
Yes, the AOD works like with Ticwatches, But doesn't get too bright.
If you want to have a clear and bright screen under sunlight, better get professional sport watch like Garmin or Suunto
@@TechMishka Hi sir, could you kindly let me know if I can consider GT2 pro or newly launched Amazfit GTR3 pro. My considerations are battery, sensor accuracy and Bluetooth calling. Awaiting your reply. Thanks.
Do you know a smartwatch where you can put in reminders like an old casio databank?
Hmm, not sure how the Databank handles that. For sure any WearOS device has advanced reminders option.
@@TechMishka You can put reminders into the schedule function ua-cam.com/video/hoPYkEc0rH8/v-deo.html
Could you please confirm if an external chest heart rate monitor can be connected to gtr2 via bluetooth
None of them supports such.
I have an I-phone 12 so as my research goes the clear winner for usage is the amazfit … Does anyone have any info on the Amazfit GTR 3 coming out soon ???
It might appear in the coming weeks.
why buddy? I own iphone 12 as well and I was planning to get the GT2 Pro? What wrong with it with the iphone?
That Huawei watches only somewhat connect to an I-phone . It was important to me to be able to answer a call which u can’t do as well as getting music on the watch from an I-phone . I do love my Amazfit GTR although I haven’t figured out how to get my music on there yet but I haven’t really sat down & tried yet to be honest
I'm gonna say anything about the gte because I never had it but I will tell you something about the gt2 pro and the ticwarch pro 3 gps because I have also have it. Now if you want elegance and battery life you go for the gt2 pro. For every other things go for the ticwatch.
Makes perfect sense!
Where did you get the back case for one plus 8pro the blue colour, please give me the link from where you bought.
There it is:

But I like this one more: www.aliexpress.com/item/33030117260.html
Only thing that worries me bout Huawei is message notifications from all apps working properly
I;ve had no problems with choosing any app with Oneplus 8 & 9 and Mi 11 Ultra devices.
@@TechMishka take it that includes what'sapp Gmail messenger etc I would be using iPhone 11
Idol my question is which smartwatch is accurate features gps, heart rate spo2 sleep tracking.
Both are good at measuring these. AMazfit is better about HR tracking.
Unfortunately the GT2 Pro also has a major problem with the step count. One that Huawei haven't fixed. A 3m walk to the bathroom from my bedroom was anything between no steps to 150. Many are having this issue.
150?! THis is crazy a lot! The counter is just fine with my unit.
What is the better gtr2 or galaxy watch 3
Tough question... GTR2 = better battery life; Galaxy Watch 3 = smarter.
Hi, i have the Amazfit GTR 2 Classic, the price is the decision maker to me, the characteristics are very similar in both models
True that. And big advantage that ZEPP supports Strava integration.
How long will you use it ???
Have you seen any problems yet ??
@@FaithoverFear660 hi, no problems but the GPS in the city of Buenos Aires is very bad, in open fields runs well, the quality and materials are excellent, the battery and multitasking is the best. Regards!
Thanks, well how long have you been using it ?? And what is the name of your country
No NFC pay, Reply to Notification or 3rd party apps like Spotify is a deal breaker IMO
I think most people can live without NFC, but the part with notifications is a bugger....
There are already custom apps which enables reply to messages (but predefined).
Love these watches but I cannot let my Gear S3 go simply because I actually use Samsung pay multiple times per day.
1000th like from end :D
Wow, a nice milestone! THank you!
Once again great 😃 presentation! Thanks
So nice of you
Very glorious review.
Thanks big bro.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video
my budget is 100 usd
Is mi watch color revolve worth 100 USD?? Or wait for gtr 2e or honor magic watch 2 price to decrease!!
THe Mi watch is totally worth at this price point. The Mi Watch Lite is also quite good and even cheaper.
is there an always screen on both of them?
Yes, there is.
I like Huawei GT2 better over Amazfit GTR2 but l only have enough money to buy Amazfit, lol
The GT2 gets sometimes severely discounted on Amazon.
Can you please elaborate on the data fields shown on watch for GTR 2?
You may want to check the detailed GTR2 review: ua-cam.com/video/x_edr32b2_0/v-deo.html
Hi may i know if you can use always display on enable and raise to wake on simultaneous both device
Yes, you can do that.
Im going to enable it both sir?
@@TechMishka not sure what you mean doesn’t always on mean always on so why raise to wake 🤷🏽♂️
Could it be pair with an iPhone too?
Sure. There are some app limitations with the Huawei watch though.
Does it work with tecno mobiles ?
I guess so.
I only disagree with sweetspot, it is model earlier like Amazfit GTR which you can get for 80 euros, it is best bang for the buck...
Fair point! Sadly, tech has become more expensive due to what happened in 2020...
I think you definitely mistaked about battery life. I bought both gtr2 and gt2pro, and compared them. Gt2pro lives 2weeks, and gtr2 is just 1 week (used similar way).
Maybe the major difference is the Always-on screen.
I believe the gt2 pro is able to get more apps from the health app. Not as good as a full-on appstore, but quite nice to add a couple more apps :)
True that! There are a few right now, but maybe soon to become more.
Which watch you suggest me? overall pls tell me!!!
Both are quite nice. I share my opinion at the end of the video.
@@TechMishka But for you which watch is best overall, not only gt 2 pro and gtr 2?
@@TechMishka right, the new sync app.
Did you mention something about GPS accuracy and multitask feature?
Not in this video. They are tested and shown in the full reviews of each one of them. I find the GPS accuracy on the GT2 Pro to be a little better.
Does Huawei GT 2 Pro have gallery to which i can transfer pictures from phone
No, not supported;
@@TechMishka thanks
love your reviews braderr
Heey Faris, thank you, Bro!
Thanks for the video!
You bet!
GTR 2 the winner. It looks similar good (in classic version) and has much better features, like Alexa.
Yeah!
Another excellent video 👍
Thanks again!
Watches are usually about premium feel look and styling ...so based on that the GT2 PRO wins ..
You should have choose the stainless steel version of gtr2 with leather strap just like you chose leather strap version of Huawei gt2 pro
Good point!
Ok I'm confused between the normal Huawei GT 2 and amazfit gtr 2, any recommendations? Both are pretty much same price in the country I'm buying from tho, around 165$
As stated, I am quite a fan of the Huawei series. But both are excellent watches.
What's the point of comparison if huawei watches are much more expensive? or just for video
They are often discounted, especially the non-pro versions.
I own honor magic watch 2 and I say nothing's better than that on my wrist
!
I am a huge fan of that watch too!
I gambled with GTR 2 and connect it to my iphone.
1. Cannot use any watchfaces from the store (downloaded via Zepp). The watchface distorted
2. Caller ID not shown when receiving calls
Anyone has a fix to these? High appreciated it!
I wish I could help , but my iPhone experience is at not that good level.
Huawei GT 2 Pro or Amazfit GTR Pro 3 or Huawei GT 3?
Huawei GT3!
well i will be getting gt2 next week and i have a question is it water resistant?
Yes, you can use it for swimming also
@@daleycarter what about speaker and mic on this watch?? Are they water resistant tooo
@@Hooligan112 I have GT2 Pro and yes the speaker and mic are water resistant. This is from the Huawei site;
5 ATM water-resistant
*Devices complying with the 5ATM-rated water have a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010.
Hey Arjan - it really depends on how intensive you use the watch. I believe battery life will be similar to what you get from the GTR2.
Does anyone think it is worth the expense for the Prob above G2
Me personally - not really.
I just received mine today. After setting up the only thing I can see is a circle with a blue arrow hand. Cannot hard reset. App does not work. The parent company’s primary focus is health data. POS in my humble opinion. Goes back to Amazon tomorrow.
Sounds like a faulty product. Ask for a replacement.
9:47 will I be able to sync the gt2 pro with mi fit app?
Nope, not possible.
@@TechMishka thanks
GT2 Pro Wireless charging working with OnePlus device??? I have read from the official site, wireless charging supported only with Huawei mobile device.
Well - works fine with OP8 Pro 👍😉
@@TechMishka 😳😳😳😳
Note 9?
Gt2 pro
good choice!
For me the biggest win on the Huawei is Sapphire glass and a titanium case and ceramic back. Makes for a watch that should weather well. I am sure there are a lot of cheaper watches that will not survive long. I replaced the band with a steel band and it just feels good on the wrist.
You better wait and see the Huawei Watch GT3! :-)
GT2 Pro would be perfect for me if it could export workouts to Strava...
If you own a Huawei phone you may try health sync app. Personally I have tried the CTHRU/HITRAVA scripts to the data request performed from Huawei health and seems to be working fine. Although I assume that the request my data approach cannot be used frequently (something like once in a month).
@@iordanidisorestis7257 thx for info :)
Iordanidis, this is a great idea! Let's hope that Huawei will finally fix this.
also the back of gt2 pro is ceramic and not plastic
Yup, build quality is amazing.
What's that phone you had used while charging Huawei watch wirelessly...?
Oneplus 8 Pro.
@@TechMishka we have the same watch and same phone, I see you're a man of culture 🌚
