If souls could sing... I want mine to sound like this. The 99 March is my absolute favourite piece of music, and this is the only place I can find it. I hope neither Randall nor Tony ever stop playing. Cheers.
What else is to be said? I am so happy that we have this opportunity to listen to those who love to share this kind of wonderful music and their love of it radiates. Thanks for sharing. I am learning and I can hardly wait to give this gift back in turn. Angel
This video was up for about a year and half, with nearly 180,000 views. I received emails from people all over the world who were moved by it, even though no contact information was listed in the post. Nor was there any mention of Tony's brilliant playing. Music does not "belong" to anyone, but musicians should be honored for what they do. Many thanks to all those who've posted such kind comments about this music.
I've been meaning to comment on this for some time......Absolutely amazing playing. When Tony and Randal play together, something magical almost certainly happens. I am so glad That you reposted this properly, Includeing the names of the songs. I have already gotten the sheet music, and learned to play it...Absolutely brilliant...
Of course the music never left us, it will always be with us, fair play to you kind sir for bringing this to my ear and admiration in abundence to the players. Oh to hear them play in an intimate setting. 1798 made imortal.
Thanks for bringing this music back, I have sorely missed it, there is something about it that moves me to another dimension, Something that we have lost along the way. Are the musicans Irish?.
@malleyog It wasn't filmed without permission, as far as I can tell - Tony's always very open about letting you film. He just wishes you to ask him, and (obviously) at mention him. The old poster was extremely stupid, as I'm sure it would have been able to be kept up.
sadly I was born with absolute pitch I didnt say it was a note for note rendition try reading malleyog post also he has a better way with words than I do
I think it's just a G and then an open D, but I'm not sure... It seems to sound right to me. ^^; (I know this comment is from 4 months ago. xD But for all I know, maybe you're still trying to figure it out! =) Good luck!)
sounds an awful lot like Oro se do bheatha bhaile to me....... a jacobite song that was rewritten by Paddy Pearce around the time of the Easter rising of 1916 wish the mic on the guitar had been turned up a bit

My goodness....how beautiful. Bravo to both musicians. Now this is what I call music.
Yes, me too. Every day without this movie was like frost in the summer.
What a fine tune - an instant classic. And flawless playing... The truly great musicians make it look so easy - if only it was!
Lovely lovely marches. I'm so glad they are back up, I too missed them. Thanks.

your not the only one.
Gorgeous fiddle tunes, and love the guitar backup. Is that played in standard or DADGAD tuning?
Can some one tell me the double stops at 51 and 52 secs. It's driving me nuts ...argh lol
@dakotastreet

Up Cork! Remember Daniel O'Connell !
Wish you could find the score for the fiddle to this one.
