Imagine if he was in his prime nowadays. With guys like Iron Biby, Luke Stoltman, and Bobby Thompson keeping the pressure on, he probably would have been capable of an even greater world record.

Is anyone ever surprised when big fucking Z smashes in anything overhead related? The guy's shoulder strength is straight up monstrous.

someone mentioned his body proportion gave him the edge in the overhead press. his neck size is equivalent to the size of his calves. I don't know how that make sense I'm no expert

the videos for the 2014 contest were much better. they were longer and went into each attempt in more detail whilst keeping it short and sweet. The ones from last year and so far from this year have not been up to the same quality.

I laughed at how easy was for Big Z to lift that...thing.
For me military, push press and log press are actually the best and more authentic feats of strenght and raw power possibly to be shown.
That's why even if Eddie deadlifted a 500 Kg log press, which makes him actually the strongest yet unofficial man in the world, I still choose Savickas as my favorite WSM.

    • @Cerdelimo
      @Cerdelimo 8 років тому +6

I think Eddie could have won an Arnold Classic before retiring and him not beating the log record was real misfortune. It would be interesting to see prime Z versus prime Eddie because it is really difficult to make it clear who is the best. Z does not show strain whether he gets 10 reps or none while Eddie's power is up there but you can see when he is being pushed too hard.

Shaw on his facebook page- Maybe someday everyone will realize what kind of a person Zydrunas really is.
I guess he needs to make comments like this to make himself feel better.
He is really going to question if I injured my hamstring? Come on man.
After the Arnold I shook his hand and congratulated him even though the events
in the contest have been changed year after year to help him remain competitive.
Why do you think i had to set the stone record outside of the contest? The answer is
because if they put the stone event in the contest Zydrunas wouldn't compete.
He knows that he got extremely lucky to win the Arnold and even with the events
being set up for him that won't happen again # truth.

I always felt like it was against Z , I mean standard height deadlift is purely for shaw and hall and Pritchett, the log straight after is a great event for hall. The rest of the events are really shaws, apart from the frame which is good for Pritchett , Thor and Z. Personally I felt like they were gunning for shaw or hall...I mean eddies log went up so easily apart from the lockout. So maybe next year for Eddie. As for the hamstring , he competed with a detached bicep, and it was only a partial tear but equally z has had a bad back and deadlift for years now .

    • @abbadonthedestroyer3792

Shaw has proven over the last few years he really is a whiny little bitch. Seen so many vids when he gets salty over people out lifting him. Then giving every excuse under the sun when he loses a contest, it’s pathetic. It might sound harsh but I personally think too many people fall for his facade😂

I do respect these guys, but their are men in the Olympics who can clean and jerk over 550 pounds. What I'm trying to say is that these men are no where near as strong or as flexible as the men who compete in the games.

Id challenge any current Olympic lifter to put 230kg on a log and press it. Guaranteed they wouldn't be able to, far different test of strength on a log.
