Planting a gumball.. well it´s Gensokyo so anything could happen :D
I examined the soil that gumball was planted in and discovered that the soil contains a high amount of some sort of vampire radiation stuff which means if anything grows from that soil whoever eats of the fruit will be turned into a vampire until they die (which they probably won't)
Glennkabob first of all, the fuck....? second of all, vampires aren't immortal, not even immune to old age, only Kaguya and some of her peeps and rival are theoretically immortal

I like to believe that Remmila (sorry if I spelled that wrong) wears a pretty strong sunscreen during the rare times everyone else is busy, if she can't find her umbrella, or if she just goes out for a long time. (And that she had Patchouli make an extra strong sunscreen for summer.)
Touhou vampires can actually be exposed to the sun for a short period of time (like some minutes). And they won't die from being exposed too much, they'll only be weakened.

Actually, fun fact about Vampires, relevant to the history of vampires, being weak to sunlight is actually quite a new ordeal, starting with Nosferatu in 1922. The worst thing that can happen to a vampire in sunlight is a loss of their powers. However, of course, cross referencing this to Silent Sinner in Blue, it does show that Remilia burns up in the sun... so... Sunscreen?
