Why the hell everybody easily gives up on screens and gives away automatic mismatches? A center defending a guard at the 3pt arc is like a guard defending a center in the paint.
Not really but I see your point. It’s just that a jump shot is harder than a dunk. Even Steph curry the best 3pt shooter of all time isn’t making it more than 60% of the time. But also too your point. With adv stats some guys may be really hot from a certain spot increasing that percentage.
And yet our guard blocked the pass in the paint to y’all’s center so I guess it doesn’t fully go both ways

To be fair, Luka gets that shot on just about anybody. Whether he makes or misses it is almost completely up to him. Rarely the defender. That one just happened to go in. It would have done so over any other player they threw out at him at that moment.

It’s not sus McDaniels had a moment where he could’ve doubled Luka during the screen but he made a split second mistake and then Lively pushed him away. There is even a slow motion angle that shows McDaniels look of horror once he realizes he can’t double any more or Lively will get an open lob to tie. Not everything is scripted lol

Rudy was thinking he could block that and Luka did what Luka does. I asked if you play because sometimes in a game, especially the end, your mind will tell you that you can achieve and do anything even though you can’t, thus leading one to make poor decisions that are so bad they look scripted.
Bad coaching gets magnified in championship situations.
