I agree with you about doing good deeds with sincerity and avoiding which is harmful for you.On the point of purifying ones heart from disbelief I strongly disagree.For peace,respect and understanding to manifest itself upon this earth we need to purify ourselves from belief, preconception, the inertia of arrogant and egotistical faith in the words of a book that cannot possibly encompass the wonderful subtelties, beauties, truths that surround us.True humility can then be achieved.
