  • www.bbc.co.uk/markkermode - Last week I asked you what you thought the Cineworld multiplex chain could learn from Picturehouse - the arthouse cinema group they have acquired. Here are some of your responses.

Cineworld is the only cinema chain that I've noticed that definately keeps up the aspect ratio. I saw The Master at cineworld and they had a problem with the projector, and it ran about 15 minutes late. We were given a free ticket to another film and they showed the films minus adverts. More than you get from the others.

Why hasn't this been added to the Kermode Uncut Blog?

Learn....TOO TURN THE LIGHTS OFF DURING THE FILM!!!!
this has happened so many times that i just refuse to go to my local Cineworld, ruined Skyfall, especially as a woman next to me was texting in eyeshot....which my baseball cap (used to stop the glare of the lights) couldn't block
The Picturehouse in Greenwich is one my favorite cinemas, really hope this doesn't effect it negatively, great ambiance, seats, bar & film selection. Hopefully Cineworld can learn a thing or two

Well in my opinion they can only learn from a smaller independent, I don't really have that positive a view of Cineworld, my local anyway in Wolverhampton, to many chair kickers and people who want to converse and shout abuse at one another rather than watch the film.
I'd like to raise the issue of people being allowed to take infant children into 12A rated movies, sure it says under the age of 12 accompanied by adult but infants really? I've had experience ruined at least 4 times by crying kids
