    I have a quick question if you get the chance to read this. I noticed that kick you're using is in F. What makes you write the track in D#?

      I don't really care about the key of my kicks too much. Never found putting them in key helped unless I wanted to get the bass/kick without sidechain but for some odd reason as you saw in the tutorial the bass and kick can line up via phase manipulation on the retrigged patch. Go figure hehe

    you should put kick at -12 so once you finish your track you end up with -6db on the master which makes life much easier before mixdown session
