Wow, I really love the EDP! A lot of youtubers hated this fragrance but I listen to your wise words and ordered it. I think you are the one I should listen to since Most your reviews resulted in an order that I loved!

Purposely waited till fall to actually use this, although I bought it late summer and did try it at that time. This scent is amazing for the fall/winter season. Hands down one of the best right now in my opinion. It carries the DNA, but differs so much in the dry down and lasts way longer and keeps it spray-on groove way longer. Key is not to use too much, since it can be a deal breaker since it is very strong. YSL did a great job with this one and your video was well done as well. I subscribed

Thanks for sharing, Chris. Loved hearing your friends opinions. Both of these are great, but for me La Nuit Frozen Cologne is easily the best from this line. Shame they discontinued it.
Yes I heard good things about Frozen. I shall have to try to track it down.
FRAG-MENTAL I got it but I dont like it, I got a 99/100ml frozen cologne bottle if you would be intrested or someone else.
Yes, frozen is the only frag from the la nuit universe that I have a full bottle of. And it is probably the longest lasting too, which it being a la nuit flanker, ain't saying much.
Hope and Integrity prices in fb groups are around 100$ so that is my price sir
Thanks for the review, Chris. Needless to say, I'm interested in this one. Sounds like a general improvement over its predecessor, but perhaps a small step in another direction. If that's the case, that is what i'd call a quintessential flanker.

Projection is great, i literally tested it with one spray, I walked out of the room, came back a few hours later and it was still standing in the air like I just sprayed it down!

Very informative. This video got me interested in the edp. Haven’t gotten my nose on it as most stores in Canada have been closed and or don’t allow sampling of fragrances. I’ve ordered a sample. Looking forward to it!

Waited for Steve to drop his before commenting and watched both together, both seem to point to the opening being similar in dna terms with a slight differing in strength and without the use of bergamot.This has added leather, tonka and sandalwood which differs from the original so some differences so does seem more of a flanker rather than a straight substitute with slightly added staying power.Interesting watching the two takes straight after each other and getting both takes, both seem to relay similar important aspects so from what I’ve seen this may well split the community straight down the middle, great job just need to smell it myself to see if it is worthy of pulling that trigger 👍👍
You've summed it up perfectly Nige. Lovely scent with average performance. I think that may just be inherent in it's DNA as the 2012 pre reform I have still only gives me average performance. I do think it's a scent you'd enjoy though.

I imagine it to be about $120usd+ in the US when it comes out based on past releases. Sounds like this one just has that 10/10 body and depth most people want while not being overwhelming and in your face. Great review brother

Big fan of la nuit, got two bottles of the original formulation. Got them at a pharmacy in a buy one get one free sale around Christmas around few years ago. 50 quid for 200 mls total? Steal 😂
I haven't tried the edp but it sounds really good and I'll look for it in town later.
Even current formulation of la nuit preforms great on me but that's down to skin chemistry.

This was great. A very thorough testing which was really appreciated. I bought Le parfum 3 days ago I thought I was buying the EDT lol. Smells lovely doesn't project for long tho

Loved the edp, my favorite from the la nuit d lhomme line.
La Nuit the last good batches were from 2014 so you are correct. Anything after 2015 is ass for projection and performance. The general consensus is that it was the oak moss ban of 2015 that neutuered this once great fragrance.

Hi Chris, Thanks for the review! According to the official YSL French Web site, there is no leather nor tonka bean in this fragrance. The notes on Fragrantica are wrong, not only for this fragrance but, also for the original LNDL. May be you should check the notes on parfumo.net. Top notes: grapefruit essence, cardamom; Mid notes: clary sage essence, lavender absolute; base notes: sandalwood essence, patchouli, vetiver. May be the leather feeling comes from the clary sage essence.
Ok yes could be that. There's a bit of a petroleum vibe like with Tuscan Leather. Suprised There's no Tonka listed though.

To me this smells a lot like Burberry Brit Rhythm Intense, I like it (tried it a couple of weeks ago in France). I prefer the powdery 'Intense' version that had a similar bottle to the new one.

Smelled lately Guerlain L'homme Idéal Cool, that's a nice aquatic minty almond pleaser for summer/fall season! Recommend to get your nose on this. *Have a chilly sunny sunday!* ✌🌞☕

I just recently discovered this awesome fragrance! It's the first one for me that really got my attention sense Blue de chanel edt!
Got two vintage bottles one first redormularion from 2012 and Teo frozen Cologne bottles. It would take a lot for me to also want this EDP

Chris 2012 la nuit is still 1st formulation and a Gem to have so hold on to it 2nd formulation is 2013 to 2016 3rd 2017 and some say there is a 4th because 2018-19 batches do seem even weaker....I own bottles of all formulas and I do find the edp stronger but I dont think its better than the original sadly

Good review the comparisons were great. It does sound great just again seems such a shame it just doesn't last really. I have a sample of the intense yeah a totally different smell but I'd say it's my favourite and on me lasts about as long as the edt 4-5 hours but does project better. The plus of the edp sounds like it's more or less the same price as the edt tho :-) love the little bumfluff suits you haha

This video was SO good but I can't help but think how annoyed Yves would be at the later La Nuit de l"homme formulations that sullied his brand. I was so annoyed at the EDT performance after I purchased it. It's the most expensive fragrance I own and the performance makes me angry. But this was such a through video.

I have the EDT from 2016 which is weak and Le parfum version which is nothing to do about La nuit del Homme DNA, as you describe notes, I see that is nothing to do about the OG La nuit del homme DNA either...🤔
