Gotta say it here, my bad for the long wait time on the 2nd Devlog, and also the long wait time for the Demo. I have been dealing with a BUNCH of sh*t in my personal life and University, which has delayed me over and over and over again, and then when I had some Free time, I had to the choice to work on my game, work on the video, or just relax. And as many of you can guess, I chose to relax and work on the game more often than not.
I will try to be more consistent with uploads and also HOPEFULLY be able to announce an official game demo release date + full game release date.

i do want to point out that the AI shouldn't only have vision, since, if i understand correctly, the ai will forget about you once you go around the corner, therefor exit it's line of sight. maybe add a hearing mechanic, so if the player is close enough, it will still follow. that would make the ai much more immersive.
The AI for the full base game will be able to follow the player a bit after chasing, and it will also hear footsteps which are VERY close.

you should make it so the monster will roar every once and a while and then will know were the player is
I do intent for the 1st chapter to be more stealth oriented and add something along the lines of what you mentioned, but great suggestion!
Oh, the title made me think a monster that speaks to you using AI. I wonder if anyone's tried anything like that yet.

i think im gonna make a game (keep in mind this was inspired by majoras mask and ocarina of time) where its a battle game but t he player can play a song to give themselves a different movesets.

The scale of the rooms, doorways, garage doors feels waaay too high for the given player height. So, consider either scaling up the character (which is a bad idea for technical reasons), or scaling down the environment.

Although I don't speak the language for it, it is a great video nonetheless, also I changed a few of the settings (for the head bopping) to get the desired effect.

This game looks cool and all, but now it's not as scary because you explained how the monster works.
I only explained how the AI works in the demo version of the game, for the full game version I did not mention everything, but I highly appreciate the concern, means a lot to me :3
Your new headbobbing is also bad. The angle shouldn't change too much, IRL our eyes lock on to fixed points in the environment, so whatever is in front of you won't appear to shift very much when your head moves. Look up DICE's research into realistic headbobbing for Mirror's Edge.

@@Zeinn95sorry I didn’t see your reply, if you want to know how I made the Ai you can check out Mat Aspland on UA-cam. He does amazing UE5 tutorials and also has a series on AI’s which I used
I think the horror genre is not that good for a devlog. If someone plays the game after watching your videos then it wont be that scary because the player would know with certainty how everything works. Without mistery you dont get curiosity and or surprise. I dunno how you can circunvent that issue. Also, its ok to make your personal life a priority, nobody will blame you.
That is very true, but I am only showing most of the things for the demo, the full game will be quite a bit different, and the devlogs for chapter 2,3,4,etc are very different to this one
