It is nice to see you both returning to reacting to our Bangtan Boys' MVs.... Looking forward to seeing more from you about BTS. Congratulations for more subscribers!
This, of course, is an older one, but a goodie in the industry. They were being made fun of 4 their name and that they weren't going to be making it. And then when they made it, there was a lot of jealousy, so they're saying, Hey, we worked, our rear ends off for this night and day and they did. To be exactly what they are today and becoming.
Congrats on the subscribers! 💜 Also, the BTS members were babies back when they made Dope 😂 thank you for the reaction! Oh, and they were mad at the media and the huge number of haters they had back then. They do even now. Back then they were from Big Hit, an unknown entertainment company on the verge of bankruptcy. So they didn't stand a chance against the Big 3 companies who dominated the world of entertainment, specifically concerning KPop, in S. Korea. But they went on to proving everyone wrong by not just selling records, but winning grand awards. A lot of their songs, up until 2018-19 are directed towards their haters and those who looked down upon them. And considering how they were treated, with consistent hate, and malicious hate at that, being directed towards a group of young boy, almost all teenagers at the time, it came as no surprise that BTS used their songs to respond to it all. P.S. LOVING the new segment.
Great to see you both! Their synchrony and the fantastic footwork, takes the cake! Love their individual voices clearly showcasing their talent. This sort of a jazzy song with the saxophone was a vibe.
2015 was a time of strife for BTS and ARMY. Lots of attacks on social media. Conspiracies and lies. Fan wars. It was awful. And with Big Hit being such a small company there wasn't much BTS could do to protect themselves or respond to all the false accusations. BTS became the neighborhood drum - not just for other fandoms, but for other companies. This was also when Big Hit was in a financial trouble. Only when Bang PD found outside investors was he able to make moves (lawsuits) to stem the assaults.
Great reaction! I love Dope ~ the choreo is superb, as usual. I can’t believe it’s getting close to being 10 yrs old. When I saw BTS in 2021 in LA, they sang this song and did about 90% of the choreo ~ it was fantastic. Jimin ended up in the middle, and he turned around & smiled at all of us…and it was just magical. He’s so charming! Congrats on your 25000 subscribers! You guys are a joy to watch. 💜 Looking forward to more BTS from you! 😊
As always, I love your reaction! You guys are awesome. Thanks again for reacting to BTS. Congratulations on the 25,000 subscribers! I always enjoy watching you guys! Your new segment has been a great addition as well. Here’s to many more reactions! I hope you guys have a great day! 🎉
Huge congratulations on the 25,000. 🎊🥳🎉 One mv where I really think you'd appreciate their complexety and sophisticated imagery is Spine Breaker as seen on BTS Gayo ep. 15. They literally had huge names in the business put in charge of every single role behind the camera and it shows. The result is incredible. 🤯👍 💜
💜💜💜This song always makes me smile. It's about the group's strong work ethic, determination, and rejection of societal expectations. They work harder than most and even on their days off they would still be working. They emphasize working while everyone else is clubbing and having fun, they sacrificed their youth to give us the group we have today. RM talks about giving up on 3 and 5 etc. This is younger generations giving up on things the older generation obtained easier than we can. Sampo sedae--Three giving-up generation (giving up on dating, marriage, children) Opo sedae--Five giving-up generation (giving up the first 3 and also giving up owning a home and interpersonal relationships) Chilpo sedae--Seven giving-up generation (giving up on the above items and giving up hope and getting employment) I suggest watching their Baepsae lyric video which expands more on this and there is also an explanation video by DKDKTV BTS - BAEPSAE (뱁새 / Crow Tit) Explained by a Korean 💜💜💜💜
Dope *was* my first time to BTS in 2016. I was completely enamored with their dancing and energy…and the long-legged red head. Eight yrs later, I’m still enamored by all seven of them. Congratulations on 25K subscribers 🎉💜!
BTS live hits different, reacting to BTS 2019 Melon Music Awards MMA is one of the best live productions I’ve seen and the camera work portrays each individual member of the group in their individual facets. 💜 Enjoy
Congratulations on surpassing 25K subs! You got the sentiment of the song but I believe the core line of the song is 'reject rejection.' During this time of their career, their talents were still undermined and they were rejected by the K media in general, despite their growing popularity. Even though, they were constantly criticized for every little things, they stuck to their core beliefs and kept going forward the Bangtan way which is the Bangtan style. They truly worked and sacrificed above and beyond the others to be where they are today. They are a Marvel, a history in the making, because they continue to do so, and an Evolution Revolution in the music industry where even GRAMMY has acknowledged BTS/Bangtan style as a genre. I apologize for my long ramble, I guess it comes more with my age.😄 Happy Holidays! You nice, Keep going!💜
Congrats on more subscribers! I'm glad you liked the song...this was my first BTS song when I became ARMY back in 2016 and it still in my playlist. Happy New Year 2025!
Ah, DOPE! This is the song that made you ARMY!! Who are they mad at? Their haters. They received constant hate back then and continue to receive it. Your interpretations were totally on target. The music videos they made back then were as good as they could make them on a low budget.
😳😵💫😁🙃👏🏻🙌🏻💜 The ONLY thing that can make a BTS reaction better for THIS TexMex Boomer?? . . . One of the reactors wearing a classic YES t-shirt!!! My brain started to fry when I first saw that iconic band logo floating around in center screen. It was hard to process - gods of ‘70s prog rock from my youth showing up incongruously in Bangtan World. I did not see that coming. Thank you! It made my day.
I love this song so much as I love the reversed saxophone at the end, the choreo is amazing and the lyrics I can relate to also a side note I actually cosplayed as Jimin from dope at a local comic con and people who knew who I cosplayed as asked for photos and others who didn't asked who I was and I told them all about BTS and what they do
That is so cool! My teen daughter does conventions too & sometimes I tag along as the adult chaperone. Most of the time I don't know what everyone's costume is except hers, but I admire the looks & the dedication. I would be so excited if I saw anyone dressed like BTS! 💜
HAPPY BIRTHDAY V!!! Guys, Amo Vocês!!! Mas hoje é aniversário do V vocês poderiam ter reagido aos recentes lançamentos cinematograficos dele... WINTER AHEAD, WHITE CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS TREE... HAPPY BIRTHDAY V!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
122924 Dope's Korean title, heard in the lyrics, *쩔어 jjeol-eo* actually means, "AWESOME". BTW, the HYBE version of Dope doesn't have English CC available (WHY?), but the *1theK* channel has subtitles. I think for BTS' early songs, BigHit had an arrangement with 1theK and the group still gets credit if those are viewed on 1theK. I think SBS probably gets this view credit, like most TV stations and fan made videos, not BTS.
NEWS ALERT. Please read Hybe's announcement. Even though it's V's birthday, Hybe will not be posting any Hybe content for 7 days. The government announced 7 days of official mourning due to the 179 South Koreans killed in a horrendous plane crash. I won't be posting for 7 days. You need to consider what you will do. It seems inappropriate to enjoy any Hybe content. I will not judge you. I'm just informing you.
The recommendation going on mostly is to keep the birthday celebrations on more private spaces (like group chats or Discord spaces) and don't use any Korean hashtags if you go public
It's not but the cuts and the small amounts of green screen are very well hidden to give the appearance of a one shot video. The most obvious clue is in the number of members on screen and their outfits. There's a making of-video as well. 💜😄👍💜
Congrats on your subscribers! I watch your reactions and realized just now I hadn't subscribed. What they are mad at is the horrible school system and other societal expectations on youth. Korean kids have long and intense school days, and in 12th grade have to take a test which literally determines their future. They study 12-16 hours a day. (RM was in top 1.4% and it shows.) The pressure comes from parents, schools, and society. What's worse is there are nearly NO mental health services for youth, and S Korea has the highest youth suicide rate in the world. Those who survive become resigned, go out clubbing and drinking, are stuck in lives they don't want. So that's the context. BTS is saying, get off your butts, look at us, we work hard to make our dreams come true. Fight the enemy, fight the system, fight for yourself. While they are saying that, they are throwing plenty of shots at the system, revving everyone else. Their earliest songs were along these lines, rebelling against the system, which was unheard of in k-pop but spoke directly to youth, so Army grew enormously. p.s. I subscribed but I only care about BTS, so I'll skip others. It's especially important to me while they're away in military.

Would love to see you guys react to a Guide To BTS and learn more about them as artists and individuals!!

This song is also about adult/society expectation put on young people to push them into certain careers.
Yes this is Dope. There is a making of this video that is fun to watch.

They've got a "making of" for this video as well.
Love this song. It is one of the top on my playlist. Enjoyed your reaction and congrats on hitting 25,000.
Good to see both of you back.. Hope your doing okay Sam.. This is one of my faves by the boys💜
love the "YES" t-shirt 🎉 good band🙂

Congrats on more subscribers! I'm glad you liked the song...this was my first BTS song when I became ARMY back in 2016 and it still in my playlist. Happy New Year 2025!
Every so often, I need to see the choreography again - the Macarena looking part. This sounds good every year.
I love these BTS early days.

I would love, now that Sam’s back, to see you both react to Spring Day + Italian Army’s video about all the deep meanings in the song and video.
Love early BTS, can you reaction to "Fire" by them, another great early song.
Thanks handsome guys..
“How am I a rapper?”😂
this was their first video to get a lot of views

Viva BTS
I love this song so much as I love the reversed saxophone at the end, the choreo is amazing and the lyrics I can relate to also a side note I actually cosplayed as Jimin from dope at a local comic con and people who knew who I cosplayed as asked for photos and others who didn't asked who I was and I told them all about BTS and what they do
Maybe you know then, what is Taehyung dressed as?
@Sunset553 Tae is dressed up as dective Conan from the anime with the same name

This song was geared towards haters.
Please react to BTS MMA 2020
hope you had a great Christmas !!
I alter the settings on my caption tool bar to make captions. It makes them alot easier to read💜
Just trivia my cousin designed the Yes logo on your tshirt
Could you please react to RM LOST
I think this is one long shot.

@ Ahh. Thanks for your insight, I was wondering about how they did it!

PLEASE WATCH "I NEED YOU " video by BTS
Congrats on your subscribers! I watch your reactions and realized just now I hadn't subscribed.

p.s. I subscribed but I only care about BTS, so I'll skip others. It's especially important to me while they're away in military.
They were SO young. JK looked like he was still in middle school. So amazing about the tight choreography so early in their careers!
He was 16 when they made him
