I love the sprite work, everybody looks their best in this game. Also the type-ism meter system was the best with the most options. You could basically do 2 bar ex moves (or were they just supers?) And three bar was basically Ultras. I miss the zangief from alpha 3, he was a monster.
@@A8EL gameplaywise yeah sure, but alpha 3 has the best roster and the gameplay is a middle ground between 2 and 3. As a game, alpha 3 just has more to offer with world tour mode and dramatic 2 v 1 boss battles, custom characters, etc. Its pretty cool how you can tweak characters to suit a playstyle, adding hyper armor or air blocking can change a character dynamically and drastically. Max level zangief is an absolute terror to behold in alpha 3.
i remember before i got a ps1 back in the late 90s i wasn't quite old enough to get a job my brother got streetfighter alpha 2 but we didnt have a console, we had to wait 2 weeks before he could affored it, it was the most horrible 2 weeks ever, i cant tell u how much i just just staired at the cover and read the book every day for about 4 or 5 minutes wondering how the game would look and play we didnt have internet back then like we do now so i had no way of knowing how the graphics or gameplay would be. just looking at the cover wondering who this evil looking guy was holding ryu.
