Senator Megan Hunt: Our Rules Matter

Senator Wayne used the rules to make a motion to stand up for his community. The Chair of the Legislature said this was a debatable motion less than an hour before suddenly changing his mind and reversing this decision, going against our rules.
This is part of the work we do here in the Legislature, as a separate and equal branch of government. This is the platform we have. We cannot silence people. This is now how government should operate.
