Arron vs yu because not only was the combat amazing but when you look at it from a certain standpoint point you realize that it wasn’t a tight between arron and yu but rather a fight between arron and K ( i think thats his name at least its been a minute since i read it )
Viktor was clearly the best. Yu actually _almost_ fell victim to his luck, including the impossible shoulder cramp, they mention the Leidenfrost effect to explain how he got the magma punch, and to top it off, Viktor, after losing faster than anyone ever had, found out that he lost, laughed and approached Yu as a friend. He looked into the eyes of an absolute terror and saw a deeply sad and lonely man who probably didn't enjoy what he was doing and desperately needed a hug and a mohawk. The goofball has such a good heart he forced K to jump in the ring and chase him away, lest he shed light on Yu's soul.
People are misinterpreting that jesus or christianity is the one who stopped yu but the real reason was J. In the manwha in was stated by K that inside the ring fighting yu was like being in a constant state of pain and pressure because that's how yu's life as a child was like. But J met yu in the streets and promised to see him again in the future then they meet again but to fight inside the ring. J stayed and endured the ring even after yu's dangerous punches that could've knocked him out. Him enduring that means that he shared yu's pain until the end. Thus yu feels that someone now truly understands him and it's the first time that yu felt that he's not alone anymore. Yu already stated in the manwha that if there was a GOD then why did that GOD made him suffer that much as a child? Proving that christianity and religion already failed and is insufficient in saving him. Even if J came in an orphanage or church, religion didn't took part in yu's change. J could've been a good atheist and still achieve to save yu. These are just based on the facts and statements from the manwha which overweighs the false conclusion and misinterpretation of the manwha's ending that it was jesus or christianity that changed yu. Even if you still think otherwise it still doesn't change the fact that no child deserves an upbringing like that, what kind of GOD gives that kind of childhood? Any excuse/reason is either stupid or immoral...
@ you’re entire argument rests on the premise that Yu was mistreated by God. The point of The Boxer is not whether god is real or not. It’s about saving people from themselves. It’s written in a viewpoint that J is a stand-in for Jesus, not a stand-in for god. God might not exist in The Boxer and J would still be a Jesus figure. It’s not that hard to understand. No one talked about Christianity stopping Yu. You came up with that yourself because you’re anti-religious and went in with pre-conceived notions that you can’t shake. No one said The Boxer is about Christianity. The boxer is about People and J (or Jesus) saving People. This isn’t up for debate. It’s just the factual message of what The Boxer wants to convey. J’s boxing record is 36 wins, 26 losses, Ezekiel 36:26 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” J’s record literally exists as it does to convey the final message of the Boxer. Or how J ends with 36-27, 36 Old Test, 27 New Test. J staying in the fight and letting Yu hit him is literally an image for image metaphor for Jesus. The whole world hated and mistreated Jesus. And the people, literally YOU, killed Jesus, but Jesus still stayed and died to save YOU. I don’t know how much clearer the author can be about this. Just because you don’t like religion doesn’t mean a story doesn’t have religious messaging, especially when it’s factually what the story is about. You talk about statements on the manhwa yet you are lying to make a point. Your citation of Yu’s question regarding God is missing over 50% of the context. You are PURPOSEFULLY hiding information to make your point seem better. I understand you don’t like religion, and that’s fine. In fact, I’m an atheist myself. But being an atheist is not an excuse to be stupid. The Bible is not just a religious work, it’s a literary work, and one of the most important pieces of writing in history. Even as an atheist, you should read it as a person. It’s a way to understand another viewpoint. You can disagree with what the author wants to say, but the message is already said, and that’s his viewpoint. And that’s all that matters when talking about fact. The reason I’m atheist is because religious people put their feelings before facts. You’re doing the exact same thing.

1.1 seconds or .09 idr
