Leno is good overall performance, he carried us for the whole season when we were trash

Ramsdale has more or less same skills on the line, but when it comes to other skills, like: communication, managing defense, playing with ball by feet, long pass, long throw-in, quickness in starting counterattack - Ramsdale is much better than Leno. In addition, Ramsdale is very charismatic and has potential to become a true leader.
Idk from the mic'd up video Leno seems very loud and vocal. The difference is the back four, Gab and White with Tomi and Tierny are much better than what Leno had in front of him.
You are right, leno is not as good of a leader as ramsdale and is not as good with his distribution and ball control. However, if you look at are arsenals training videos, you can see Leno has a better shot-stopping ability. If Leno could improve his leadership, ball control and distribution he would be a better goalkeeper then ramsdale.

Leno is a better shot-stopper no one can debate that. Ramsdale brings calmness to the defence and encourages playing out from the back which is the most difficult thing for most keepers. With Ramsdale between the sticks, arsenal creates more opportunities cuz he gives confidence to the defence not because he's better than Ramsdale but cuz of his leadership skill. Overall the aspect in which Ramsdale is better, Leno lacks all of that shot-stopping which is where Leno thrives, Ramsdale is also not too bad in it. Ramsdale is only 24.

Leno is noe of the most underrated goalkeepers in the world. Those saves is so special and he deserves the first choice goalkeeper for arsenal.
The difference:
Leno back four was bellerin holding mari kolasinac/tierney.
Ramsdale back four is tomiyasu benwhite gabriel tierney/tavares.
Technically leno is a better goalkeeper but ramsdale leadership and spirit is what team needed

There’s also, reflexes, jumping, power and Leno has all that better than Ramsdale but Ramsdale spirit fits better because that’s a young defence who needs someone to yell behind them and as we see with Leno, he’s more the type of van der sar to make a save cuz it’s his job while Ramsdale is more like schmeicel who yells at defenders after every save and the team needs that also Ramsdale had more technique in his distribution
Leno is a very competent keeper, Ramsdale is an infectious character and a competent keeper.
Leno is great keeper and I would've still supported him until he made it clear that he was looking to leave the club and wasn't going to renew his current contract. I know he intends to become Germanys #1 keeper but that won't happen as long as Neuer and ter Stegen are playing.
Leno is excellent, he just doesn't scream or talk much, he expects them being professionals to do their parts excellently.

Well, for me Ramsdale is good and Leno is better. The honest truth is that Arsenal fans are always too quick to forget about what certain players have brought to this great club. But in my honest opinion, Leno has never had a good line of Back Fours as is the case now. We all need to acknowledge that Arsenal's Back Four are the deal now and anyone can see this. They are so confident, organised and quick to react to rebounds from the goal keeper like the Leicester save that is making rounds everywhere.
Contrary to the various Back Fours that have been lined up as cover for Leno; so shaky, low in morale and confidence, and are always caught flat footed or better still off guard. However good a keeper may be, but with such an error prone defence, they will always just like their back four make silly mistakes and end up conceding stupid goals just like Leno and Peter Czech could have. I hope all of you are able to reminisce the Peter Czech of Chelsea who had a much better back line and midfield as opposed to the ones he had during his Arsenal days. To be honest again , the two seemed to have been two different persons and yet it was still one individual in Peter Czech.
I thus conclude by saying that Leno is better than Ramsdale in all spheres (this explains why despite the fact that Emi Martinez proved good in between the sticks each time he was given the nod, he still failed to displace the Mighty Leno), save for the mere fact that whereas Leno has played in a mediocre Arsenal squad which lacked in everything including morale for so long a time, on the other hand Ramsdale is playing in a much better, strong and high in morale Arsenal squad.
Secondly, had it not been for the injury that Leno sustained to create the luck for Ramsdale to be given the chance to prove himself amidst an Arsenal fan base which even NEVER believed in him, it would never have been this way. Nonetheless, am so happy and glad that he (Ramsdale) took his chance with two open arms and this has created the much desired competition that Leno has for so long needed. After all, I am among the very few Arsenal supporters who believed in Ramsdale's abilities; though we should all watch out for the single chance that Leno wil get to reclaim his Number one spot role at the club.
Am honestly loving the competitiveness at the club as of now and this shall surely take us heights.

I love both but ramsdale character instill confidence unlike Leno with his calm attitude,I've been watching ram since his day at Sheffield the only thing I'm scared of when arsenal is signing him is the amount of goals we're going to concede through rebounds but i guess he had improve since he came to arsenal.

everyone is forgetting how good leno is.. people act like he doesn’t know how to communicate or make game winning saves anymore. it’s ridiculous how overrated the ramsdale hype has become. yes, ramsdale is good but the way he’s just “exploded” in form is no surprise. anyone that cared enough to watch how well he played at bournemouth and sheffield will know this. this “explosion” in form doesn’t justify him taking the no1 spot for me, especially after years of leno’s consistency. at least leno is taking this shift to no2 like a pro, keeping a good mindset and not getting depressed about this change.

Everyone in the comments acting like they don't know why aaron is playing ahead of leno. it has nothing to do with form but ability to push the defenders and organise them and passing well from the back. having aaron there almost give us a 3rd CB when building form the back. it makes it harder (not impossible) to press us. Leno is a good shot stopper tho.
Thank God we have two great keepers
Leno is a superb Goalkepper but Ramsdale is on top of his game at the moment and I will choose Ramsdale over Leno. Arsenal fans gave Ramsdale the momemtum and comitment by calling him the 30M gamble. Ramsdale have authority over the defenders while Leno is just that cool guy.
I forsee three things for Ramsdale
1. To win the golden glove in the premier league
2. Signing of the season
3. Future captain of Arsenal
I believe Leno will be raising again!

What Leno lacking is communication with his defenders and recklessness (error prone)
Ramsdale is a great commander behind his defenders and he is quite smarter in dangerous situations
1. The difference is in their distribution AR is clearly what the team needs now playing from the back because he knows when to play out from the back and when not to.
2. The character AR brings is infectious... He sees the pitch better than all other players and he commands his backline in a way he will be free and also have a good sight of what's happening.
3. BL is an amazing goalkeeper no doubt but he doesn't have what the team needs now to bounce back.
for me ramsdale is a more consistent keeper so hes my number 1 i love leno but consistency is key

Leno had this back line at the start of the season and was shocking he has very poor control over organising his defence and doesn't communicate to them and it shows the defence looks so untrusting of him where as with ramsdale they all look so much more confident and it shows in results
Both are great but it's ironic how swift we forget Leno singlehandedly kept us from relegation in recent years while having trash back 3.

No he won't. Even if Ramsdale has a dip, he's better with his feet, communicates more which makes everyone a bit more confident in front him. Arteta will stick with him.

There is no best they're both top goalkeepers and we appreciate their services equally but ramsdale is our number one and must always be at 101% because there's another top goalie ready to take his place, this the new standard arteta has brought into this football club,people don't realise the incredible job arteta has done. Personally, Leno is a classical athlete and ramsdale is a good performer.

Both are excellent goalkeepers. Ramsdale suits the current Arsenal team a lot better than Leno, due to his leadership and qualities with the feet compensating for other players on the field. When Arsenal becomes a top team in England again, meaning a stable team that is fighting for trophies Leno deserves a shot for sure. It’s unbelievable how Ramsdale is limiting the score line damage every single time!

Until, Ramsdale came along I never knew we had a goal keeping problems too. Yes the defense has changed however, there were occasions where the defense got broken but the goalkeeper saved the day!

Honestly both are good goalkeeper. What missing from Leno game are distribution and mentality while Ramsdale not as good as Leno in reading the game..yet. But seriously we (Arsenal) are very lucky to have both young and full of potential Goalkeepers.

Martinez can help us win the cup with shaky defence.. because of his good communication skills. Leno is a great stopper, but he quite lacks of communication and distribution. Sometimes that cost us.. especially the distribution thing.

Ramsdale has way better distribution and def more charismatic but I wouldn't say he's better than Leno in terms of pure goalkeeping skills. He has a long way to go before proving himself. Leno kept us in many games over the last few years even with shitty defense.

Both Goal keepers re very good and at thesame level, is just Ramsdele is more commandive and coordinated in controlling the games.
The difference btw this two is only how they controll their defence... Rams is more active than Lenno in this.. he commands his defence very well
