She still looks enough like Mothra that I'm not bothered by it.
I was a fan of Godzilla when i was in Elementary(starting from 2nd grade or 3rd grade) now i am in 8th grade and i cant wait to see my heroes back on the big screen.

Apparently they're also introducing a few new monsters that have never appeared before in film. So perhaps the few snippets we see in this trailer aren't other Toho monsters at all.
I think those are some "pseudo" kaiju designs off of Toho's... since most people think of them as Kumonga and Anguirus, which is not possible as the license isn't given by Toho (as far as I know). Unless they already did and keeping quiet about it to surprise us.

And if Anguirus is having a cameo, it would've been a waste just buying that character rights from toho studios and just placing there for like..a few seconds of screen time, Legendary is not that stupid, marketing and profit wise. Also the movie is already crowded, with 4 main toho kaijus PLUS extra new ones. This is the same problem that is happening in G14 and KSI (fans thought Mothra or Rodan is going to appear in the first film but that turns out to be the MUTOs and the latter thought that kumonga is having a debut but that turns out to be a skull island bamboo spider or mother longlegs.) Fans need to be careful to what information they are hearing to. Its getting frustating...

I like the new design because she can now fight instead of being a punching bag. If they use the Toho plushy design it will look out of place in a horror movie.

We saw the 5min trailer before Endgame at the IMAX, battle btwn King Ghidorah and Godzilla and it gave me goosebumps, freakin unbelievable, Ghidorahs deathrays are off the hook. Nothing this summer will compare in terms of realism, KING KONG 1933 and GODZILLA 1954 are simply the best I.P.’s in movie 🎥 history.

But I assume after the success from the 2014 film, they were granted the rest if the monsters, probably money they earned they got them. But anyway, that 2014 had beautiful scenes to replay repeatedly.
I loved the 2014 Godzilla. Even the 1954 original Toho film had very little Godzilla in it to build up his suspense and I think that’s why they did the same with the 2014 film, it had a lot of parallels and homages to the original film. Extremely excited for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, I think it’ll be one of the best Godzilla films yet.
I was at my friends' place last weekend, and he and his other half have never been Godzilla fans. They were iffy at best regarding the 2014 film, and she cringed up when I even mentioned the King Kong movie... but I got them to sit down and watch this trailer, and I don't think I've ever seen her so excited for a movie in all the time I've known her lol She's a huge fan of anything involving dragons, so when she saw Ghidorah as he emerged from the ground, her eyes went really wide and she got so excited. It was both hilarious and awesome to see so quick a change lol On a personal note though, like you, this is the film I've been waiting for since I was 3 years old and late at night after my parents put me to bed, I would get up, sneak downstairs, and watch the old Godzilla movies when they were on tv. I was hoping this was what we would get from the 2014 movie, but I can understand Legendary's reluctance to go all-out, given how terrible the 1997 movie was. Producing another movie based on Godzilla was a gamble at best. Thankfully, while not great, it paid off... and King Kong even moreso. Now they have more of the rights for Toho characters, we get this wonderful looking masterpiece, and hopefully a LOT more in the future :D
This is going to be an absolute epic movie. Like many others who have posted comments, I have been a huge Godzilla fan since I was a kid (about 30+ years). When I saw this trailer, my inner kid filled my brain with Toho rainbows that I slid down into a pot Godzilla heaven. Can't wait for this movie to hit theaters!!!!!!!

As soon as Rob said Baragon I was like Fuuuuuck yeah However, theres a really good chance that those are original Kaiju. Mike Dougherty confirmed he was making some new kaiju designs.
i just got the Japanese version of a lesser known Toho kaiju Varan...the last black and white Toho kaiju movie and what i found unique as you were talking about Baragon was when Varan roars it sounds just like Baragons roar and then the end sounds like the end of Godzilla's roar. Also in the beginning of the movie they shoot a rocket into space and it sounds just like the intense piano sounds of Space Ameoba when Helios 7 is lifting off. plus if you listen close you can hear the sound score from ghidrah the 3 headed monster from the master Ifukube-San.

Okay this is coming from a guy that hasnt seen much of the Godzilla Movies. But from what I've seen The old movies were cool BUT THIS TOOK IT TO ANOTHER FREAKING LEVEL. Ive seen Ghidorah the 3 headed monster, the Ghidorah we see here OBLITERATES Toho's Design. Though yes Ghidorah orginally like all the monsters in the old days were costumes which was and still is a work of art. But this shows us what CGI can do right. Mothra is my favorite.

It's been days since i watched this trailer and i'm still trying to collect the pieces of my fucking brain from the roof! I'm a 39 years old man and i screamed like a little girl with that final scene.
What’s coming out of the ground could be Destroyah. Maybe the movie ends with him swimming towards Skull Island. Godzilla follows and ends up fighting Kong. However in the end they both take on Destroyah.

Millie's character is a stand in for the Mothra twins. She has a psychic link with the monsters, but specifically Mothra

I agree with the Ebrah titan coming out of the ground, But I personally think the titan that looks like the mountain is moving is possibly Anguirus
They’re entirely new original monsters and supposedly are gonna be cannon fodder. To show just how powerful the Toho original titans are. Which if you think about it is simply brilliant on Legendary’s part.
It's been days since i watched this trailer and i'm still trying to collect the pieces of my fucking brain from the roof! I'm a 39 years old man and i screamed like a little girl with that final scene.
What’s coming out of the ground could be Destroyah. Maybe the movie ends with him swimming towards Skull Island. Godzilla follows and ends up fighting Kong. However in the end they both take on Destroyah.
Black Scorpion is the thing coming out of the ground and the monster from the monster is most likely a new monster.
