Why didn't Master Du put some medicine or peroxide on the hooves of the first donkey? Is it because the owner is selling it? The second one had a hoof that was hollow inside. Why didn't Master Du use his medicinal butter?
What about the bones inside the hoof? Here they xray first. And cut back the length over time. To allow the damage to recede before cutting too short and painful. Unless its an abscess. A special shoe can keep pressure off the painful areas.
They don’t have that kind of luxury there a lot of those people are very poor This is significantly better than leaving it as is and while it’s not something that we traditionally do it doesn’t necessarily make it wrong

They would get worn down if the donkeys weren't kept on soft dirt and in places where they can't freely walk or run. Being kept in tiny pens like you often see means they don't get the opportunity to wear down their feet as well.
No,, cuz domesticated horses and donkeys are spoiled with always having food and water right there with them and dont do the required amount of walking and running around that it would take to wear their hooves down naturally even when kept in large pastures. granted horses and donkeys kept in large pastures have hooves in better condition than those kept in small pens but over time even those kept in large pastures need trimmed

I wish I could rescue all of the donkeys so they would know love, running free in green pastures and be treated humanely.

And, you may not have to use the nose twitch which I think is cruel. It makes the nose extremely painful so they don't feel the hoof pain/pressure.
