Great episode, thanks for inviting this guest ! For the future, would you be able to bring someone that talks in depth about fabrication parts ? I feel like this is topic very little explored online and most of the time we need to rely on 3rd party plug ins to get the job done

The issue with MEP materials or colours at system level is that it changes the appearance of everything connected to that system, so pumps, valves, boilers etc with be the same colour or material which is not want we want. Filters work well but we cant use materials only colour overrides. The easy fix would be to add material as a graphically override in filers. Also on the comment about Navis not seeing the colour overrides when exported if you export to DWFX first then the filter based colour overrides will be retained.

I actualy want for everything in the system to be the same color.
I hate it that this behavior does not transfer over to ifc export. Only line elements get the material from the system, but connected component families get materials that are defined on their solids, and you get exports where all fittings and accessories are grey. There should be a togle somewhere for system materials to override the materials of all elements in a system.

Thanks! Hmm.... Editing text inside schedules....? Not sure... Maybe DiRoots excel plugin? that's the only one I can think of... Unless it wasn't me who said it... ? lol
