It's a lot less interesting now. I dunno, even if Dallas wins the Cup, it'll be a "meh, who cares" because they don't have to beat Colorado, or Boston/Tampa to do it.

This year playoff is something else. Toronto Maple Leafs win a playoff round, President Trophy winner out, last year Stanley Cup finalists out. This is great for neutral.
These playoffs are NUTS. Home ice hasn't meant a damn thing. My Lightning lost three OT games, all at home. Unreal to see the second round without the Bruins, Avs, and Lightning (possibly the Rangers too)...and the Kraken and Panthers ARE in the second round. We are in bizarro world.
and the Canes will be the next ones gone :)

man. this weekend alone we got toronto finally breaking their curse, record breaking boston choking to the florida panthers of all teams, and the defending champs losing to the newest expansion team in their second year. crazy stuff
It’s not really that crazy to anyone who’s familiar with playoff hockey, wich is why its always the most exciting time to be watching but certainly not the best time to be betting lol

@@electricmango3 yup very true and I’ve only been watching hockey for like 7 or 8 years but I quickly learned that it’s the type of sport that can have any outcome depending on many variables wich are constantly changing. This is honestly the best sport in my opinion for a number of reasons.

The Avs were just too beat up this year, and they accomplished more than they should have. In the end, the loss of Landeskog, Nichushkin, Cagliano, and a top 2 center was too much to bear. Heal up Avs and prepare for success next year.

Yeah, I'm hoping my Lightning have one more run in them next year. We need Vasilevskiy to remember just who the hell he is and be an elite goalie again. He never found his groove this year. Looks like the Avs didn't either, because of injuries and inconsistent goaltending. Maybe we can run back the 22 Finals in 2024.
@@Dolphinjeremiah goaltending isn't as important as it used to be. The success of teams relies on the skaters. Didn't you all lose some players before the beginning of the season?
@@biffdanielson2820 Yeah, salary cap casualties hit us. You may be right about goaltending, but I'm use to seeing a dominant Vasy in net, and I never saw the same guy who won the Conn Smythe two years ago in this past series.

I dont see it as an upset. A good team beat another good team. Injuries are part of the game. Seattle was a 100 point team with terrible goaltending.

Playing with so many injuries for most of the season just caught up to the Avs. They really outperformed all season with such a shorthanded roster. MacKinnon and Rantanen could only carry them so far.
Yep, I feel so sorry for those two. Not a single goal from bottom six forwards in the series. 1-2 goals from there and Avs would probably have taken the series. However in the next round they probably would have lost anyway. Bit angry about the roster build as MacK and Mikko were having seasons of their lives. On the other hand once Landeskog didn't return and after the Nichuskin case there wouldn't be a chance to win SC this year. After last year it looked possible to repeat. Still cup window was open and this was missed opportunity.

Totally with you. I would have bet money on the Lightning, Devils, and Kings on Saturday night, and would've lost them all. I did have the Panthers just because I thought the Bruins switching goalies was a panic move and sent a bad message. That series was no fluke. Panthers outplayed the Bruins most of that series.

The Oilers were the best teams in the lädt month and they already still at work. But Vegas is a tough challenge and in playoffs seems all can happen. I thought there will be a final bruins against avalanche or Oilers... But at the end we get a all Canadian final?

The Blues are garbage
Was at this game. As an Avs fan this hurts...but Gru was playing out of his mind and the defence was taking so many shots for him. Our guys were just too beat up to keep the fight going but they did their best. Just wasn't enough with so many needed players out. Just a solid effort from the Kraken. No love for Eberle(inconsistency on discipline on hits in this series is garbage) but the rest of the team is alright, wish the Kraken luck in the next round against Dallas.
Nothing inconsistent about it, though I'd have boo'd Eberle till the cows came home as well were I an AVs fan.
