I think the "trolls" are mostly the wannabe-woke people who automatically get offended when they see "blackest states" and assume it's racism. They seem to overlook the fact that some people might WANT to live in majority-black states for any number of reasons, so this video would be helpful to them. It's always funny when the people trying hardest not to be racist end up being the most racist.
No one cares about your identity. Just make your comment and move on. Comments stand by their own merit NOT by who says it. Nothing you said has any more or less validity based on how you identify. You could cut out the whole "as a black woman" part and your comment would still get the same point across.

If anyone is ignorant, it’s the people that let the democrats segregate skin color. Churches, Neighborhoods, Smart TV categories, and Wikipedia telling how many different colors of the rainbow live in one place is the first step to bringing back the Segregation Laws brought forth by IGNORANT democrats.
@traviswilson36 shut up lol this isn’t a racist movement I’m simply trying to stop people from being segregationalist and telling everyone that skin doesn’t matter and ancestry is retarded.
This was very informative. I find it interesting that politicians and people who think they have better ideas about where people want to live insist that all cultures want to live together. While learning about and even embracing traditions of other cultures people often self segregate i.e. Chinatown or the Italian or Polish sections of cities. It's just not unusual for people to want to be with others who have similar cultures.
This video got HOME on my mind. I grew up in Arkansas and I’d drive across the river to Memphis. The food, culture and art seriously sold me on Memphis and Tennessee. I met a lot of real friends there that are like family to me to this very day. I loved this video- thank you for posting it.

Most towns and cities in the deep south or majority black, some people don't know that. I'm from Georgia and I live in a 72% black town and the towns surrounding my county is over 60% black as well. It's very black down here in the deep south.

As a Black American man, it's a shame that you have to tip toe around and put disclaimers in a video like this. As usual, this is an excellent video. On the note you mentioned about Market Streets and if there's any major city without one. If by major city you mean over 100k people then yes I know of at least one; Berkeley, CA. What's interesting is that it very easily could have a Market St. as there's a Market St. in Oakland but when it crosses into Berkeley, it turns into Sacramento St.

Can you do a video on native american populations? I'm from Oklahoma from the mvskoke creek tribe and like to see a video about this. Thanks for reading ❤️
Hi, I am trying to talk my husband into moving to Oklahoma. We love Wyoming so much, but it has become so expensive so we left to stay with family in the east. We miss the west so much and Oklahoma has the same ideals as Wyoming but it seems better. We would be able to purchase a house and be able to have everything we want in a house. We wouldn’t be able to visit first so we are scared to make the move not knowing what it is like. How do you like living there? Any information about Oklahoma would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time. Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!
Correction. The Tuskegee airmen spent their entire time in Columbus Ohio. By this, they left for war (WWII, Korea, Vietnam) from Columbus, Ohio and returned to Columbus, Ohio. They did their flight training in Tuskegee Alabama. I am not accounting for the support roles and where they received training. For those that like to poke holes or feel I didn't recognize supporting roles. For context, this is about the airmen that flew the airplanes. During this time is when Meger Evers referred to the Tuskegee airmen as the ones who started the Civil Rights movement when the Tuskegee Airmen were already in Columbus Ohio -several years after Jessie Owens won the gold medal-. Check it. They were at Lockbourne Air Force Base. Lastly, My great Uncle Brigadier General Charles E McGee passed this on to me. Thanks again fellow airborne comrade.
They trained all over. Some or maybe all received some training in SC. A friends father instructed them in something to do with radar here. The father eventually met and married a SC woman and lived out his life here. He was from NY. Fantastic group of Airmen !
You did a really great job with this video! Also, since you're visiting Louisiana soon you should research the capitol city of Baton Rouge. There's a lot of interesting Black History in that city beyond just New Orleans. Intersting Facts: The Baton Rouge Bus Boycott against segregated buses was in 1953 and was the first major boycott of its kind in the United States. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr consulted with the leaders of the Baton Rouge boycott for advice on his successful Montgomery Bus Boycott in Alabama. Also, the HBCU Southern University in Baton Rouge was founded by the first Black governor in American history and Louisiana native P.B.S. Pinchback.
This is all just boring to most white people. We built this country and continue to keep it thriving, period. A large percentage of the black populous just makes it more difficult to function effectively.
My favorite channel. I’m African and I love your videos. I learn about the US culture through your videos. Your sense of humor is amazing 😂. Thank you 🙏🏾 for these wonderful videos.
It’s the same in Mississippi if you’re there, which is the largest producer of freshwater catfish in the states. If you’re near the coast though, go for seafood, Vietnamese and Cajun restaurants. Top Tier.
I absolutely loved this video. We moved our family from the PNW to Virginia and almost Delaware. We absolutely love the area. Thank you for your videos.
Very informative, one of your best videos. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to show some footage for the cities you named. I'm curious about the states with the largest Native American populations. Maybe contrast that with Canada?
Most people of the white ethnic group aren't nearly as racist as we want to make them out to be. The most racist ethnic group are indeed black people because 99% of us were not truly educated about our shameful heritage.
Arkansas is probably well explained by a combination of late economic development in the antebellum era and having a lot of terrain that's just not suitable for plantation agriculture. Basically lots of hills and a western location without coastal ports. I didn't hear the percentage for Arkansas mentioned in the video, but it's roughly 15%, compared to 12% for the country as a whole.
2/3 of the state is farmland suitable for cotton crops. It has coastal access ports in little rock and along the Mississippi. The late economic development is probably the most accurate. That place was poor then and is still that way and the wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few families.
Always a treat watching your videos. BTW, I'm a 63 yr. old black man and I don't find any of your videos offensive nor bigoted. Truth has no skin color. Peace!

As a Delawarean, I’m always shocked to hear Delaware on any video. BUT, being born and raised here, I never noticed race to be a big deal…but now, I guess we are as slightly diverse as I remember my childhood to be. Also, thought it was hilarious to hear two of the blackest cities to be in Sussex County 😂😂

Hey Jimmy Briggs. Thank You for not shying away from the subject. I enjoy learning about the history watching your videos and hope you have a Merry Christmas.
Not sure there would be a demand for this, but I’m interested in the top 10 states that aren’t predominantly any race, those with a distribution similar to the US average. For most people this is probably too generic of a topic, but it’s interesting to me because I think the 2 states where I’ve lived, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts would end up on this list. I haven’t seen the top Hispanic or Asian state videos yet, but also suspect some of the states at the bottom of those lists would also end up on this list. I see these states as having multicultural urban areas and predominantly white rural areas. Pennsylvania would probably be number 1.
So, taking a less-than-painstaking glance, if I had to put money on a state, Illinois would be the state that most closely mirrored the national average. "Most" even distribution looks to be Nevada, though you could make a case for Georgia, most diverse gene pools might be New Jersey or New York (New York is kind of a mess because NYC is SO diverse and upstate NY is SO white that I think it's truly its own thing).
In Virginia from Charlottesville down to the Hampton Roads area is multi cultural. The Blue ridge mountains aren’t as diverse. The good thing about Va. is from the beaches to the mountains is only a 3 hour drive . Hampton , Va. is the oldest English speaking city in the country. Langley Air Force Base is the first air field in the country. Hampton University as well as Norfolk State are two very prominent historical Black universities in the country. History is rich in Virginia. If you haven’t been , please visit some time .
As a native Alabamian, living in the metropolitan Birmingham area I too was surprised Alabama only ranked 6th in the nation. Your segment was informative, rich in correct historical facts both good and bad- I say well done!
When you start thinking about populations and who is where, it helps (like he said in other videos) to think about who settled there first and then what people were doing there. In most larger cities, and Birmingham is certainly getting up there for the south, you are going to have larger minority populations but their families might or might not have been in the region for a long time. Places like MS, GA, LA, and parts of TX, it makes sense that the flats and deltas would have had large farm lands back in the day. AL is a unique state in that, sure it is in the south east it has hilly, almost mountainous terrain in the north and lots of sports hunting and fishing along the Alabama River, Coosa, Chatahoochie, and Mobile Bay...sure they have great farm land around Dothan and Montgomery but most of the state was doing other stuff their entire history. I do enjoy talking about the space program from AL because it surprises a lot of people.
I’m white hispanic from FL and I love black Americans… I really want to visit all of those states, specially for black American music and food!!. Thanks for the video! ❤
So respectfully and professionally done. And I love seeing all the positivity and feedback from black folks in the comments because...when discussing black people and black culture, the thing that matters far and above beyond anything else is....how do black people perceive what you've said or done. And judging by these comments, black ppl appreciate and respect the work and how it was presented. So I guess my mans is invited to the cookout! 🤣🤣 Iykyk just don't bring no bland potato salad, or chicken salad...or egg salad. I can’t help adding something after reading a bunch of comments. In 2010 I went on a AAA tour in Egypt. I was in the white upstate half of the group, and the other half was a bunch of retired black female teachers (with a few young female relatives) from downstate NY. I hung out mostly with the black ladies who were more fun. When we got on an Italian Nile River cruise ship in Luxor, and were among Nubians (black Africans) all the way to Aswan, I was amazed. The Nubian guys kept calling up to the young black ladies wanting to marry them so they could get to America. I’ve never been so impressed about how much all Americans (regardless of color) are alike, and how distinct we are from people in other cultures.

My Dad is in an interacial relationship. When he bought land in North Carolina with the intention of building a house there he brought his girlfriend to tour the area with him. He invited her to live with him down there but she said that she wouldn't feel comfortable being there, not enough people of her own race lived in that area. It bummed my Dad out but it's understandable why she didn't want to live there. When you are the only person of your race in an area you stand out whether you try to or not. Sometimes you just want to be where you feel you belong and part of that is being around people who look like you and live a similar culture to the life you live. I think that these videos focusing on where the highest densities of each race live are useful to those of us who want to vacation or live in spots where they feel like they belong in. I don't think it's racist or bigoted most of the time but just want to not feel like they are always being watched simply for being different. That's just my thoughts on why these videos should be told, people are genuinely interested in where the largest majorities of "their people" are living across the country.
I feel like some of us just love stats. I understand some people what to feel "comfortable" but at the end of the day, what we dread the most can literally happen anywhere while what we love the most can be where we least expect it. ❤️

I enjoy emails like this. As an American History Professor, it is important to actually present the historical record without the current focus on “wokeness”. The goal in my classroom is to examine the actual statistics and let the student make their own decision. Having had several students that believe the black population is the largest in the United States, US Census statistics are a good place to bring them back to reality.
The fact that you had to go on and on justifying this video and saying that talking about black people "is an uncomfortable subject for me" is just plain weird. Why would you be comfortable making videos about Asian, White and Hispanic heavy states but find some sort of discomfort when discussing "Black States" unless you feel differently about black people than the other races..? Are black people some sort of taboo subject to you? LOL Racism comes in many forms, and I would say that being overly sensitive to a particular ethnic or racial group is absolutely a form of racism too.. Sadly, the woke mob has made people with good intentions, afraid to speak any sort of truth or point out any fact. Black people are just like everyone else, most of them aren't that sensitive... its the liberal elite whites who would find this offensive.

1960’s: Republicans stop segregation. 2020’s: Democrats promote segregation.

I agree with you but in this climate no one wants to offend anyone. 🤷🏻♀️
My guess is that if you travel to the end of the old Sacramento street you would end up in Sacramento. Was there ever a Farmers Market in Berekley ?

There was some serving in Italy in 1944.

@@elbravorod6095 Perhaps Andre wants to feel comfortable and also wants to hear the truth. Nothing wrong with that.

I’m guessing all of the mid-Atlantic and southern New England states would end up here
That would be very interesting. I like diversity. Even if he did the most diverse cities in each state or something like that.
I’m also wondering if midwestern states like Ohio, Michigan and Indiana would end up on the list

Why would you be comfortable making videos about Asian, White and Hispanic heavy states but find some sort of discomfort when discussing "Black States" unless you feel differently about black people than the other races..? Are black people some sort of taboo subject to you? LOL
Racism comes in many forms, and I would say that being overly sensitive to a particular ethnic or racial group is absolutely a form of racism too..
Sadly, the woke mob has made people with good intentions, afraid to speak any sort of truth or point out any fact. Black people are just like everyone else, most of them aren't that sensitive... its the liberal elite whites who would find this offensive.

I feel like most of the people in arms about the title are not even Black people....which is a little odd lol 🤷🏽♀.
This channel is golden.
Cheers to your quest to hit 1M subs.
Heads up:
Don't ever apologize, for being yourself.
Don't worry about the stupid people...just keep doing what you're doing. Your videos are great.
No they are stupid
I was surprised how segregated the south still is.
No he was reply to people might make racist comments about Black people. As he said he was nervous about making race based videos
The south isn’t segregated. It just had the most slaves in the country because there was a lot more jobs for them to do and the former slaves had kids and now they have descendants.
@@zeged34 i meant that although these states are only 28 percent to 33 per cent African American they have towns over 90 per cent black. It seems pretty segregated to me.
Don't mock you being white. Be proud of our race. I am. I make no apologies.
I agree, & you have to understand why this is happening. This isn't a coincidence. They brainwashed people into hating themselves. This was part of the PC BS that brainwashed people to cens.or what they say.
I live in Louisiana. You were right. We have corrupt politicians but good food and music 😂
Aren't most politicians corrupt?
@@eq2092Yep they are
When I think of Louisiana I think of jazz music 😎
@@eq2092 In Louisiana, being corrupt is a tradition. You can't get away with it that easily in many other states.
@@kerrynight3271 bro there is corruption everywhere. There is nowhere in America that is free from it. Some are just better at hiding it.
Great job on the vid and props for tackling a subject you find uncomfortable!
I appreciate that!
I requested this video thank you!
I’m black and was living in Colorado which is extremely white and this video helped me find a blacker state to move to be with my people. Thanks for the video!
Which state speaks to you the most?
I’ve never commented on UA-cam. I gotta say… good job! I love the comments from a range of races. We all gotta stick together.
I got it. I get it. Good 😎
Thanks for uploading
My pleasure
Great video. Very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was good information Keep making videos that was on the MONEY. Mike Washington From Maryland
Great video! I don't care what color you are, it is so important to learn other cultures. Wether people want to accept it or not most of the people in this country are immigrants. I guess I'm one of those strange people, that actually loves all people no matter where they're from. We need to learn more about each other Noone is better than anyone else, period! You go Briggs ✌️
Best comment!!! I agree with everything you mentioned here!
@@Tamytutu81 Thank you! I mean it with all of my heart!
Spoken like a true brainwashed gen z who was brainwashed by the govt school system. There are plenty of ppl. Who are far better than others because they made decisions that keep them out of jail, enriched their education, and many other things that allow them to be head and shoulders over most ppl. Ano one of those is the great accomplishments of Donald j trump who since 1975 continues to be more awesome than about 99+ percent of most ppl. You would call heroes who are in and out of jail. Your philosophy is so flawed it's sad.
Great job Briggs, as usual!
You should also do the most Native/Indigenous American, Middle Eastern and North African, and Pacific Islander states.

Oklahoma, Arizona, and Alaska have got to be the top 3 right?
@@MalachiCo0 Alaska for sure #1. Then it would probably be South Dakota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Arizona.
