You just saved me $140. Thanks!
This is not wet container though
Thank you kindly for your video! I've decided on the 7500 and wanted to know if I could use the wet blade for nut butter and nut flours! Bless you!
for some reason when I ground a half-full container of sugar crystals at maximum speed for a bit too long, the bottom of the sugar I was grinding got moist and started hardening while the top is a fine powder and it was really warm. would you recommend a dry grain container or did I blend the sugar? thanks in advance
Hi there
Will my Vitamix wet container suffice for grinding coffee beans? I usually grind them just under 15 seconds, and I'm hoping it doesn't scratch/damage the container. Thanks!
Grinding dry coffee beans will scratch the container, but it won't damage the container. I haven't done the side-by-side testing to say for sure, but my guess is that for grinding smaller amounts (say, 1 cup of beans or less), the wet container will work as well as the dry. The dry container probably has a slight advantage once you're grinding over two cups at once. Coffee aficionados will tell you that you're better off with a burr grinder because it makes a more even and controllable grind.
Is this a vitamix 5200 or 7500 series....
That's actually a Vitamix 5000 in the video. But for using the dry container the 5000, 5200, and 7500 are all essentially equivalent.
