For anyone wondering, he was curious on how far she was willing to go to protect her past. In this case she was willing to offer her body to hide her dark past. This plays a major role on her importance in the series, because of this he now knows how low she can fall and how easily she can be used. At this very moment she became one of the most important character of the series.

I love the way Ayanokouji acts in this scene. He uses her as a useful tool for his benefit but he also offers help and protection to her, making it a win-win. Absolute sigma

The anime really did this scene justice. As a LN reader I'm glad.
Definitely, I was sad that they didn't play out the whole scene with the texts and such but they really nailed it with the fear that Ayanokoji instills in Kei in this scene.
Yeah, it just missed him unzipping his pants and groping her thighs, unless that happened and I missed cos it was too dark.

Here ayanokōji uses the 11th law of power "learn to keep other people depentent on you". He knows that kei needs protection so he makes sure to give it to her. Like this kei will be dependent on ayanokōji for the rest of high school.

@@iforgot4837 My interpretation was ichinose is pure hearted (emotional) and ayanokouji is the opposite of that (logical) and if they were to date ichinose would be in my opinion a better person to teach ayano how to be more human. But for ayanokouji at the moment to get to class A, kei would be better bc ichinose can't rlly lie and is too kind to carry out the things ayano tells her.
@@iforgot4837 I thought he chose to date kei so that he was able to learn more about his emotions. Wasn't he like emotionally illiterate due to him being in the white room for so long? During his fight with ryuen the badass Wasn't even angry he literally waited for ryuen to dump more water on kei to see if she would break and betray him by saying who X was. And then when he finally made his appearance only decided to beat ryuen senseless bc he doesn't have "fear" and then ayano was like aight bet

definitely peeped the way they keep choosing to draw ayanokouji in a position that's elevated relative to kei. in this scene he's standing while she's sitting, and in the ending song, he's at the top of the stairs while kei's at the bottom. 👀👀 really symbolic!! and it also just makes the moment where she takes his hand and is pulled up even more important!! 😭😭👀👀

He is after all. But still its somewhat true. People always look for a group which does not mean actually social interaction, also love to simplify everything with the existence of an enemy. The resentment that is caused by that darkness. The lack of willingness to be bounded by the morals and rules from society. Those 2 things clearly make the people to not fit in almost any group. Therefore they would associate with people with that darkness. Again that is usually the case for any group. But in the case of people with darkness they would be rejected in almost any other group, they have even less options. That would be similar for any extreme viewpoint.
