I am so glad you are talking about being feminine, it's so needed. I feel a bit sad to see young, beautiful women wearing hoodies all the time. I was a child of the 60's, growing up women knew how to dress with class, we have lost our way. I think you are brilliant and beautiful for teaching style. I see some nods to some 1920's and 1930's but I also can see some 1970's influences. In my eyes that is why many of the outfits work, the lines are timeless. Thank you for sharing.

When I think of dressing ‘sensually’, I think in my mind “what would my outfit feel like if I was blind?” That simple question ensures there are textures that I will enjoy. I have noticed they I have not purchased items that did not fit with that aesthetic and have donated a few items that just didn’t make the cut. I am NOT a snob (in my and my family’s opinion, anyway), but why wear scratchy sweaters when there are SO many beautiful fibres? I used to know someone who used to love to knit but saw no value in natural fibres. Because of this, she would purchase yarn for her projects at dollar stores. She did had a point that there is significantly more work to caring for my knits, but for the sublimely sensual feeling of them on your skin makes it SO worth it. This poor woman never did realize the value of making something that people will like. While I agree that the hand made touch is worth something, I still stand by my earlier statement.
Ugh I know that cheap yarn feel! My mom was a prolific knitter but we didn't have the funds for better yarns. I wonder if that is why I'm obsessed with great fabrics now?
@@unblahyourself Bahahahaha! The person in my story was also my mother, but I didn’t want to ‘out’ her! After reading your reply, though, I realized that her reason was also lack of funds. I’m not saying I am loaded - not even close - but I would rather save up for something that feels SO good to knit and then wear. When I wear the garment, I get that sensual feel of the fabric I created but also the memory of the feel of the yarn as I knit it is part of the experience.
