this songs hit me right in my heart I had to sit down and broke in two the first time I heard it listened to it over 13 times still have to listen to it over and over I lost my sister we were a year and half apart she was my best friend we had it hard growing up and only had each other but I violated parole getting high and got a six month hit and lost her I went into a serious destructive state self harm to the extreme died countless times but this song and others helped me threw all that I'm clean six month's now spent thanksgiving with my family still mentally fucked but what I'm saying is music saved my life thanks guys for helping me open the closet to see the light outside

No more infest talk. I heard gravity and it is a complete rap track so for all you infest people be happy with that.
I'm liking this track the most because of the emotional weight behind it.
Adding on, I think we should all be proud of Jacoby for fighting his demons and coming out on top yet again to make music that he, Jerry, & Tobin are impelled to make.
There's humanity in this album that we have yet to hear and feel-and that's why I appreciate it.
The intro with the piano is beautiful and the bridge before the final refrain really solidifies the tone and heart of it all.
Obviously, nothing will ever mirror Infest.
But life isn't about repeating the cycles and the motions over and over again, is it?
Needless to say, Infest was indeed a trailblazing debut, but this record is showing the signs of evolution in not only style but also lyrical content.
They've pushed and improved upon their past accomplishments along with their already respected identity and musicianship!!
There's more than an undertow of growth here.
There's an overarching, evergreen message of hope and a resolve to reach the heights & summits that you long for.
It's a positive overture.
That is why I love Papa Roach.
They always progress and never confine themselves to the monotony of what's ‘selling’.
They make music that breathes what their souls yearn to express and if no one approves of that, they aren't inhibited.
I'm almost seeping with restless energy because this album releases in just TWO WEEKS!

I've been listening to PR since i was 6... Now i'm 18 and i have to say that PR is one of the most incredibles bands ever, They changed in a million ways and that's great, every album they've done is cool. But to be honest i really prefer to listening their old music.

Camilo PRoach you prefer it because you're a young kid that relates to negativity more, you're drawn to it almost. I was young one, and could say the same thing about myself. True fans appreciate that they have the privilege of being able to listen to god music. Bands don't have to make cds...most probably care only about money. But this band does not. This band is smart enough to evolve over time, I have the upmost respect for jacoby, he puts himself out there on every album they've made, he doesn't have to, but that's how he connects with his fans. this is a great song, that contains a great meaning.

I can understand everyone having their own opinion...but really? You want to argue about how much you think this song sucks? I have a feeling most of you doing so, do not connect to songs on a lyrical level, but more on an instrumental level. The emotions in this song are so strong and sad...not sure how you can genuinely say it sucks. I figured everyone would zone in on the hurt in Jacoby's voice and the lyrics, but I forget not everyone is in tune with these sort of things! Whatever though, this song has helped me more than Papa Roach will ever know! Their music has helped me through so many things the past 15 years! I was 10 years old, laying in my bed, lost in Infest and have been a fan ever since....25 now...they have helped me through EVERY STAGE OF LIFE, through stupid teenage angst, through dysfunctional family issues, through death of loved ones, and so many other struggles...so many do not understand how one can connect to a band on such a deep level, but I am telling the truth when I say Papa Roach helped save my life more than once!

I loved every album and almost every single song they wrote. Got some songs that I didn't like too much but nothing they made was bad since they keep putting their heart in it and damn.. The passion, the feelings that they put into it. It makes the music feel alive. It's beautiful♥

I understand if people don't like their new music compared to their old stuff just because it has evolved so much since Infest, but if that's the case don't listen to it. The music they made on Infest is great (don't get me wrong) but that was a different stage of life for the band. Jacoby Shaddix was going through troubles so he put it to music. He doesn't still have the same issues he did then so of course the music is going to change
i know this doesnt sound like PRoach but, this song is not bad, same as scars, or gravity, its not like them but the songs were too good to give up on... just like most depressed people, too weird to live, too rare to die.

I've feared this ever since Warrios came out... PR has been my favorite band ever since Infest, but these 4 songs they have released are pretty mediocre. And The Connection has to be my favorite album up to date, so I'm not complaining about them "changing/evolving".

The ppl that just can't contain their hate have work to do for them selves, however if you watch the progress of the band from the start to now you'd fully understand the sound and the meaning. Don't get all fussy cause they didn't create another banger like alive or to be loved.. cause yes they're inspiring songs and great party tunes but they've been there and done that. As an artist you grow cause the same old shit gets boring it becomes a comfort spot and would you want to be in the box your life or out of it? It's clearly different from their signature sound, or any other, but I kinda liked it.
Theres a reason bands evolve. Passion, Emotion, and heart. You dont have the same passion and emotions as you did in 99, at least I sure as shit hope not. So why should the artists? As an artist I applaud the evolution of this band and the way their music is produced and has evolved. Not many bands can do what they did, and they not only did it but did it well. So quit bitching about wanting them to redo that old music. They do what they want. What their heart is. If they didnt put heart or emotion into it theyd just be another fucking pop or hip hop artist.
If you want every album to sound the same then gtfo. They are doing awesome and too many people don't understand that they wanted to go a different direction. They don't need ppl who aren't loyal. They have millions upon millions of people who follow them no matter how they sound.
Yeah, they sound different, but I don't think that it's bad thing. I still love the music they make, because you can feel the passion in it. I got so much respect for Coby, that he is writing the lyrics and puts so much emotions into it.

I love this song, it has alot of meaning behind it. All bands are bringing out different types of genre's to keep up with what everyone else is playing. All the 90's people will understand that Papa Roach has changed but they are still AWESOME!!!😁

So many people are saying "This isn't Papa Roach" Yes it is, they sing about their personal life, back in the Infest days, Jacoby was going through a lot of shit, so he wrote about that, now he's passed those bad times and still writes about his personal life, this song has so much feeling, like Scars, No Matter What, Had Enough, Before I Die, Forever, Leader Of The Broken Hearts. Only a true PRoacher would love them forever, no matter what! I remember listening to Papa Roach when I was 10, they got me through school, big break up and family problems. Can't wait to see them in March! Forever my number 1 band! viva la cucaracha!!!!

They came back really strong with this album, cos imo their stuff after Infest was lackluster. Jacoby greatly improved his vocal melodies and the guitar tone is really nice. No they werent going back to Infest sound because nu-metal era is impossible to replicate/fabricate and this isnt pop either, its post hardcore/alt metal.
Good song. Not all new Papa Roach songs have to sound like the old Papa Roach songs... If they did that, they'd be boring. Nobody likes a boring band.
Something about this new album just doesn't have the Papa Roach feel, I miss the lyrics that felt more personal and bitter, which brought about the fans in the first place, e.g. last resort, broken home, scars. These songs so far just sound like forced anthems with generic lyrics that any artist could of wrote. Reason I got into Papa Roach is they had song meanings no one else tackled in the way they did, with anger, sadness, regret etc.
The status of their life though aren't as they were during their Infest days though. During then, Jacoby Shaddix was going through some bad shit and had some issues so he put it to music. He no longer has the same issues so of course the music is going to evolve just like he did as a person and the band did as a whole
***** Yeah they keep it personal, but I'm trying to convey I miss that hunger and passion you can hear in their early work. The lyrics were a punch in the face where as these new songs sound safe and pleasing for the mainstream, regardless of the subject matter.
Skate Toons look at Jacoby's life now. he puts just as much of himself into the songs as back then, it's just that his outlook on life has changed. he's happier

i dislike this plastic sound and have a fealing, that every single song on new album is gonna be the same, all squashed and pumping but no sonic depth and no original sound and melody lines... i know that bends dont't have unlimited ideas for new songs, new rifs, new vocal melodies, but they coud at least play a bit with sounds and sound scaping, rytmics... I se joung artists without producer skills, without fancy equipment, just their laptops and midi controlers, guitars and guitar procesors that come out with by far better and uniqe ideas...the drums on this song are completely procesed and triggered sounding, they sound like a rythm machine, without any depth or fealing, it sound like "whatever"... i know that the producer and mixer chose this type of a sound to make the song more pump and pop, but it still sucks..... did you guys just got artistically lazy or have you just run out of ? ... to PRODUCERS: STOP KILLING ROCK MUSIC!!

I was worried, when i heard warriors for the first time, but FEAR, Broken As Me and this brought back the hype. Seeing you live (in germany by the way) always makes me feel satisfied. Heard FEAR on Halloween for the first time and was utterly impressed.

I love this song. People need to stop judging it based off how it FUCKING sounds. Lyrics are what matter,heart is what matters, not fucking heavy beats and drumming. Gosh, this one and The Connection are albums that speak to your heart, to the softer site that you hide everyday and tells you its okay, you can do it. So for all you "this sucks" or "this isnt Papa Roach" or "wheres the heart?" go ask yourself where the fuck yours is.

OK P Roach fans, not trying to hate but this song leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing special here. Reminds me of about 3 other songs by P Roach and those other 3 were far better. That's ok. Not every song can be a HOME RUN. Just wanted to keep it real and be straight up about this track. NEXT!

I greatly enjoyed every song from The Connection. With what's been released from F.E.A.R, I suspect I'll be able to say the same on the 27th. Looking forward to downloading my pre-order!
Dear people whining about their new sound - dafuq? They still have heavy songs like Broken As Me or Where Did The Angels Go (a lot of them), so what dafuq is wrong with a slow song every once in a while? Especially since this is the best one of those they have so far, I'm really impressed

Bought fear and Broken as me on itunes. Wish all 3 of these songs had just that strictly rock sound. I'm just a rock n roll guy. These beats and sounds they're throwing on is not my cup of tea. I like my rock n' roll to be rock n' roll. Like I said I bought broken as me and fear. Great songs. They were borderline. Still gonna buy the album though. Last album had that same feel as this one but they did throw on the rock tracks such as 9th Life and what's left of me.
I have to say, which is funny start, because of the song title..but, this album sounds just as good as their last 7 albums,
and I've been a fan since I started listening to them at the age of 14. so almost 10 years for me PRoach!

Stop comparing their new albums with ones released years ago. Times change, music changes and so do bands, so what? It's good it sounds different from stuff on Infest etc, if every album sounded the same as the one before it'd be boring and wouldn't gain as many new fans. It still sounds good, just different.

I swear this band is becoming Nickleback D; Not as their older stuff, where is the fast paced rap stuff, haven't heard enough of that in this album :/
This is a really good song in my opinion. Of course it doesn't sound like their music in the past cause they evolved. Every bands music is gonna evolve eventually. For the better or worse.
Gasp! I finally found a song by Papa Roach that I don't like. I never thought this would happen. It falls flat and doesn't have that spark that most of their songs possess that hits the soul.
Sounds a little like old school stuff mixed with this great new sound, LOVING IT!! Teared up, honestly.
i love this song but I would have preferred either love me till it hurts, gravity or falling apart because when I listened to excerpts from these songs, I found them great

I dare you guys to listen to this song and A Day To Remember's I Remember, and see if you guys notice a difference in the choruses.
