Love that golden swordsoul combo. I would just use crimson on Diabell to make Crystal wing. It’s usually enough and saves up space in the ED. Also you’d want to use toy box as cost for your monsters so diabell can add it back and you can set the toy box cards again.
good point re saving on ed space. i show the sync 12 route because i want to show that you do not need the centurion cards making your main deck ratios worse to make blazar - although the ceiling does become much higher because you can end on sync 12, blazar, crimson dragon to go calamities or 2nd blazar in draw phase. im not sure id play the crystal wing option because you wont make it before nib, and i think even if you dont play crimson dragon and its targets, having a synchro 12 is very useful for clearing awkward levels off your field and putting diabell in grave so the level 4 grave effect is free instead of replacing a body
You can make this combo better The idea would be to send toybox at some point. And get it back with diabelle instead of legends Since toy box isn't opt you can then reset soldier + tank to your backrow This will gives you fuel for your diabell play during opp turns, whilz giving you card advantage. (Also the bonus effect of toy box is nice to protect apo from being ran over)

However two things: 1) Opening Toy Box is the Nuts and very nice but would love to see some more combos where Toy Box is not part of the opening hand since in most games it won’t be. 2) What are your thoughts about using Iris to go into Crimson and then tag it out targeting Diabell for a Crystal Wing? Not an Omni negate but still lets you keep Diabell on the field so might be a nice middle ground? Anyway im def subscribing and following your channel!
1) while drawing box is better than soldier in a vacuum, drawing soldier is only worse if you get interrupted in specific spots, otherwise soldier gets box and box gets tank; the main difference is that starting box means soldier can search ww lv 4s - which only matters if you dont have access to them otherwise. the chance of drawing *either* box or soldier is 58% going first and 65% going 2nd; so actually the majority of games are played with the toy engine, not including tank. that said, the combos without the toy engine are usually pure ww combos that establish the resource loop which i described in my response to your other comment, so those combos arent super interesting and i skipped over them because i thought they were basic - but i will upload some gameplay commentary that should answer this 2) i think if you are playing the crimson dragon package you should play crystal wing, but you will have to cut a flex card like bagooska. i think this is only better when you dont draw certain extenders or get awkwardly hand trapped *and* still went for iris for the crimson play. so you dont need to ever make crystal wing, but IF youre on the crimson dragon package you might as well play it

Could you save the crimson dragon and just use it on your opponent’s turn to summon out king calamity?
yes, but if you dont have blazar then certain cards like imperm, the books, or ogre etc will stop it.
