Dunno how I missed this review. Always happy to see more Frame Arms content! I agree that the legacy issue of the FA line is floppy joints (especially that waist); there's no really easy way for Kotobukiya to engineer their way around the issue without compromising on compatibility, and the Frame fits their needs otherwise. I think the line could do with another all-new design, though. I haven't kept up with the recent releases because IIRC they've consisted mainly of minor variations on old designs, this kit included. There's still a wider variety of designs to choose from than, say, Bandai's 30MM, but still, some fresh blood would be appreciated. Personally, I think the general aesthetic is sorely lacking in volume and curves. Something squat and/or chubby would be a real breath of fresh air.
Gullzwerg is the first "regular" Frame Arms kit I've wanted for a long time. Been so busy collecting the girls that I forget to check the OGs from time to time.
@@ZakuAurelius true enough. But a lot of them are variants of the "aquatic" mecha like Jentao or Lei Dao, and I've never been into those. I like Kongo and Izumo, but I'd rather get the girl versions (when they eventually happen). Most of the FA kits I want are just older ones that haven't been "girl-ified" yet, like Vulture/Wyvern, or Rayfalx/Jagd Falx.
@@garrettvenn9022 I guess I'm the opposite, I only like collecting the girls because it's so much money and there's two more in kotobukiya lined up with 2 already brought out as preorders (velretta + miku x tamotu). The other two was only shown in display so nothing about cost + shipping/preorders, one is an arcandea and the other is megami device that honestly looks like a cooler version of susanoo to which we haven't got the original kit (here in the states), got a preorder in USAGS but it's not fulfilled for a long time. Not to mention they're trying to reissue the white version OG of asra nine tails (scalpers brought this kit almost $250) I had to preorder even though I got the homura kit not that long ago..
first frame arms kit I built was the cutlass RE 2 that came out last year and a few MSG option parts to go with it, was a little intimidated at first since I had only ever built HG gundam kits, 30mm kits, a figure rise amplified and a LBX kit before hand but it came out pretty good, I heard the older frame arms kits have some stability issues but the more modern ones and newer RE kits seem to be very good
All of them are kinda flawed because they use frame arms frame The best is baihu/white tiger & genbu variants because its not a frame arms anymore it uses frame arms frame, but it uses it as a platform for baihu frame

Glad to know I’m not the only one who enjoys Frame Arms 😆

They still coming out with some awesome mecha too!

Just now figured out this thing exists. Thanks for the review!
You’re welcome!
Zup Zack!! Nice, thanks for the video bro 😎👍🏼
the normal form makes me think of the Xeku Eins from Gundam Sentinel.
Kinda, yeah.
This review made me go and get a gullzwerg from amazon. Not in the states so no go for USAGS unfortunately
All good! Enjoy the kit!
Can you do a review for Strike IWSP? Can't find ot on your channel

Bruh, I just bought this the other week, and I was trying to find a review on it to see what I was getting myself into
Hope this helps! I’d just recommend gluing some parts here and there or just tighten the joints a bit if need be. Other than that you’re fine!
Normal version has some cool Zaku III vibes
Yeah definitely!
I haven't built any frame arms so far. Any recommendations, maybe?
HRASVELGER
I strong recommendation for getting into Frame Arms is to start with Gourai (make sure it the Remastered version, not the original).
I'd recommend Durandal or Kongou/Izumo. They're the newest ones in the lineup and their builds are the most solid.
If you liked the design go for it. But man I'd highly recommend 30 minutes missions over this

Yeah, that waist joint for upper and lower body is a joke. It's the 1st joint I'd tighten on all of my FA kit.
It sure is. The one thing I hate about Frame Arms.
