Great quality antennas that WORK-I have the F-Loop, the MPAS, and the Tactical Dipole. All work very well.

Thanks Dave. I purchased the F loop kit and had an issue with the variable capacitor. I reached out to Chameleon and it was replaced within a week. That was 2 years ago. I am a QRP operator and have had no issues since. I have made contacts on all bands SSB on all corners of CONUS with the antenna deployed Indoors. Solid product, great customer service. 73 de KE0OZD.

Thanks for the video - well done. Chameleon products are built to last and perform very well. John is a stand-up guy - and his customer service is second to none based on my experience.

Cool tour of the Chameleon antenna factory in Sparks Nevada. Looking forward to seeing the factory in person when in Reno. Thank you Dave for your time doing the interview and visiting the Reno hamfest. Mike N6IMY

I have their hybrid mini with both whips and wires. I operate portable/mobile using the whips and it all works very well. When I home in my HOA house I use the mag loop inside. This also works well, but not as far. Very happy with the products. Wish I had money for the aluminum loop pieces, but maybe some day. Enjoyed the tour, it was informative. Thanks Dave. 73 W0YVY

RE: aluminum loop pieces. I have the high efficiency loop. Expensive but well made! Improves mag loop efficiency particularly on 40 meters. Can't be used for 80 meters on the F-loop if I recall correctly.

Chameleon once made a video at there old factory in California. It demonstrated the extrusion of the F-loop metal tubing half. I was under the impression that it was made in house. Maybe this is no longer the case? I started with the F Loop 2.0 and now my go-to antenna is the MPAS 1.0 . Easy to use and sturdy in construction.

Yes - still made in-house! We simply moved the HQ outside CA to Nevada in 2016.

The F-Loop was my first store bought antenna, and right out of the box I was able to make contacts halfway across the country from inside my home.

I have several Chameleon Antennas and they are "the best" when it comes to field operations. Some models are ideal for permanent home use. The MPAS kit is just awesome and can be used in many ways

Great video, Emcomm 2 was my first antenna, sloper at 20 feet. Finally got a pushup pole and got the sloper upto 40 feet and much better transmission and reception. My only issue was after a year outside the crimped wire broke off from normal wind activity. It was an easy fix that only took 10 minutes to repair.

I have the P-loop 1.0, F-loop 2.0, and MPAS 1.0. All are great antennas, but I think the F-loop 2.0 is my favorite. It'll cover 10-80m ham bands, deploys quickly and packs up fairly small. I can set it up and be on the air in less time than it takes me to throw a line up a tree to string a wire antenna. Plus no tuner is needed. Unfortunately it is not very weatherproof, so that's where the MPAS comes in handy. The MPAS 1.0 is very robust and versatile. It didn't come with any sort of bag, so I cram all the components in a molle pouch and the whips into an old fly rod case. I understand the whips on the MPAS 2.0 are even sturdier and the new pouch looks perfect for the application.

Hi Dave, great tour of Chameleon. It was great meeting you briefly at NVCON, just after the battery session. Thanks again for the effort you put into helping everyone to be better hams. Funny thing about this video, I just got an email from John, I won the Emcomm III antenna Chameleon raffled at their booth! Looking forward to trying it out! Keep up the good work.

I own an F-loop, the version previous to 2.0 and the high efficiency loop. I also have a CHA Hybrid-micro with radials and the spike. Great pieces of antenna gear! High quality manufacture and rugged. I have the two whips (Mil 2.0 and Mil Ext 2.0) on order right now. Very pleased with my Chameleon aquisitions thus far. The CHA Hybrid-Micro also works well with MFJ whips such as the MFJ-1979. Pretty much resonant on 20 meters with the MFJ-1979 and 4 good radials attached. 73 de AE5ZX

Hey Dave, I am one of those old new Hams he referred to. Haha. I am busy getting cable, connectors for assembly & test adapters (for my nano VNA).
One question: How do you keep all the piece parts sorted so you can find them? I am speaking as a pack rat, not an organized person. Haha. 73

I have a Cha-V1 antenna. Which end of the 9:1 Balum connects to the antenna? The red or black one? I took down my antenna to winterize it and after a couple of weeks of back burning i went to put it back up and realized i had no manuals or online google help. I called the Nevada number and he had acquired the company from the original maker and did not have manuals transferred. He said what they make these days are whips and loops not verticles.

I have the F-Loop, and it is pretty good. I have considered the power compensator, but without understanding how it works I have been reluctant to drop $100. I am concerned it is just a power sponge.

Love your channel. I enjoyed the QSO between you and Kevin.
Thank you for the explanation. I will need to do some more study on this. It would be nice to run more than 10 watts. Silicon Valley is a big bowl of RFI.
