My first thought, as a Nurse, was that he was getting over a cold. He sounds congested and his eyes look dull like most people when they are not feeling well. Regardless, he is still one incredibly charming, intelligent and Sexy Man!

Minnesota should be one of the easier American accents to learn. England nor Minn has ever heard of the hard R sound. :) I'm not a pro. I realized the R thing when Dan Radcliffe was talking about a movie where his character is penned for murdering his girlfriend. Even though Mn is an easier one, Martin Freeman is a tremendous actor. He should be very proud of his portfolio.
