    Wow, that last move by chipp was very good, when he threw him to the wall and bounced back, he continued with the combo very well. good vid...5 starz =D

    GREAT match. I don't see Ogawa lose much so this is really something. Both played very well anyways, and hearing the crowd/commentator's reaction is great.

      Ogawa had a VERY bad time during Slash because Zato was overall weak, his worst version in the entire series.

    I'm not an authority on GG in any way, but Chipp's movement is the best thing he has, and his moves hit pretty quick too. Just move around and bait stuff. When you go for a combo, try to end it so you're at a larger advantage.

    woooh, Chipp!!!

    That's one scary Chipp.

    can he not combo after the 6 hits? (talking about the fwd HS launch) or is he purposely resetting the combo meter to deal more damage?

  • @LUEcifer
    @LUEcifer 15 років тому +1

    Nah, it was a single jump. Chipp has a triple jump standard, so when he did that beta blade it was considered 2 jumps. The second hop you see is his "3rd" jump.

    That was a really good match, but I'm surprised no one used any overdrives

  • @chau2k5
    @chau2k5 17 років тому +1

    I know what you mean, they mostl used it for perfect guards. But for some overdrives, the damage given is worth half of a tension guage. When Chipp used the RC, he didn't much damage in, so it was kind of pointless to use the last of his tension on a regular RC. (I'm all for FRC)

    Men, how the heck do you jump install a reversing beta blade?!
    I mean at 1:11 he double Jumped after canceling right?

    Unless you count that rascal Notoko, who's probably the best GG player in the world

  • @Emillll
    @Emillll  17 років тому +1

    This is an overstatement...most overdrives are not used in high level play. Venom's overdrive is probably the best one in the game, hence it's used quite often. Sol and Ky overdrives pretty much never used, same goes with 90% of the cast.

  • @Inochih

    The chipp player is susumu.
    The commentator tell it.

    It's not called lag. It's "unsafe". They leave you open if you miss. That's why people don't use overdrives often in tournaments. They'll usually get punished. It's the same reason you never do a hyper viper beam on the ground in MVC2.

    Chipps overdrives are used as counters only...Then they are really nice.... Iv countered countless attacks with the right timing overdrive counter....But otherwise yeah, its a horrible move to do on its own...

    "he's actually a little better in the second and third"
    he won a match vs ogawa!... but he lost the first round..... so

  • @Avague
    @Avague 16 років тому +1

    if chip used overdrives , he would lost, cuz chip-overdrives easy to block and he used fast combo-switch effectiently insdead

  • @doombybbr

    i don't think eddie sucked in the first round, it was chipp being awesome that won it....

      Zato in Slash has so many handicaps it's not even funny:
      -He doesn't have his insane pressure and Eddie doesn't raise defense bar (disabling his really damaging combos)
      -Most of his normals lost their priority
      -He gets a Counter if he is hit during flight
      Ogawa worked miracles with his character, but this was his worst time in the series.
