Blake was too merciful for being a soldier. War makes people change themselves. If they don't they die
Sadly true
he chose to keep his humanity intact to avoid leaving the war a husk of a human. he died an honourable man.
This is one of those films that truly do raise full awareness of the directors/creators
1:02 homelanders favourite scene
@I drink your milkshake yh 😂
For those who haven’t watched the film, the part that comes after is really sad.
I know
Why💁🏿♂️
It's because he spills his milk :((
I hope they upload it because I cry every time
@@thebeast2746 The pilot stabbed one of em.
This is a amazing film
I would most certainly agree with you there. I love how they pulled it off in just two scenes!
@@ilwertornram4 They didn't. Looks that way thanks to some nifty editing.
@@siriusleigh24 I see...
Well, some parts did look like they'd been just pasted together.
They focused too much on the cinematography and less on the storyline, it was a forgettable war film because of this.
@Barry Burroughs
You’re the muppets for not understanding the experience
These two are clearly graduates of the Prometheus School Of Running Away From Things
Cinema sins😂
Away and towards at the same time
I mean, the plane could always roll to the side and hit them, the barn provided some protection.
Shut up no one likes cinemasins
2:47 'THIS IS THE GREATEST PLAAAAAAAAN!'
Henry stickmin
Dada daradada daradadadadaaaaa
Agreed
One of the best films ever, the only unrealistic part was the lack of moustaches as most men had them in the trenches but still incredible
My great grandfather and his brother were 30-40 year old infantrymen who evidently from their enlistment photographs sported magnificent moustaches.
this whole scene is one single shot. phenomenal cinematography !!!
who gon tell him?
Person 1:"Its a bird!"
Person 2 :" No its a plane!"
Person 1 :" oh its a plane..."
and the plane is carrying... DR Bees! (for few)
The milk scene fascinates me, I don't know why.
moral from this "never help the boss" even they were dying
You guys didn't even let the video get to the best part of that scene.
I know I still cry a year later
I really wished Schofield turned into Diana
Love the climax oops plotspoiling even better than all of Tom Cruise run run run..
Think about this scene every day
the one thing i hated about this scene is that the german pilot just stabs him out of nowhere, irl he probably would have been very thankfull that they saved him and wouldnt have risked his life stabbing some guy while he cant move his legs, like what was that germans plan? to stab the fisrt and then throw the knife at the other guy? so dumb.
i feel bad when they said did you find any food
I still cried the second time too though
Sad part afterwards 😒 and they helped him
Luckily Schofield wasn’t in the way or something could’ve happened
Should've ran left where it's safe
2:45 is a certified Battlefield 1 moment.
I've watched this movie is insane I love it. It's going in my top 10s
Of 2020
@@nicolelawless3199 i believe he means top 10 list
Never seen this film by the comments it’s a must see.
Your right
It’s amazing
@@bobafett3006
Yea, I’ve dreams about it every night since my experience
This one dream tho was the worst because after Blake died, Schofield walks off from me
Then we got back together a few minutes later for the action
I just watched this two days ago
Nice I got to do the cinema experience
So worth the week wait but opening night was our original plan but didn’t make it
Sensational movie
Things coming to us
Run opposite, straight line
Modern day classic.
*THAT* dramatic expense of Amazon money to get an ad on UA-cam so that people watch 1917 on Amazon Prime
I wasn't convinced by the weird river and the bizarre landscapes that it traversed in a few miles.
That's Europe, place's weirs
There are a few inaccuracies with the uniform but it is a fantastic film
There’s a few inaccuracies in the whole film
The film is great 😍
Yea, whenever someone yells or something I just hug 1917 and say ‘it’s okay’
That’s how much care I take of it
I love this movie
It was sad when Blake got stabbed by that guy in the plane
I wasn’t expecting it but my reaction when Schofield heard screams of Blake
I knew it was coming in my second viewing but still depressed
I just watched this yesterday
Nice, I’ve seen it probably 70 times already I lost count
@@nicolelawless3199 lol
Here I am in 2021
They all sound posh. What happened to the variety of different accents and tough banter. They were hard up back then and they didn't all sound like toffs
Officers where Rupert's back then and those two Lance's are not posh theyre two lads who've grown up on a farm
Paul Booker actually watch the film and you'll see they ain't all posh, the scene in the truck they all sound like they're hard up
Ikr
Yeah they cut it off at the bad bit
Wish they didn’t, the scene after this is unexpected
It made me cry for the rest of the movie
Scary
Rubber bayonets as they hit the ground
Spoilers in the comments. Just don't say anything, you bastards
I enjoyed this film, but story line was lacking for me
Ian Cadwallender nah the point is bleak. You are on a journey with soldiers. Nothing interesting would’ve happened. It’s genius.
That is kind of the point in some ways, the storyline is nothing special, but the experience is awesome
It makes you think you’re going along with them through the line to deliver messages
Yea I know
full name of movie
1917
this film was insane
I remember my reaction in the cinema
I kept thinking ‘WHAT THE!?’
A bit underwhelming tbh I still prefere jojo rabbit
First but no one cares lol
Edit: Dang it
I do homie....I do

Is this a twelve?
Nope
15 rated
Swear this isn’t 1917
It is, but they cannot film the entire movie
Ha third
100th comment
Horrible scene hahaha
Because it’s a War film
This scene ruined the film for me, highly improbable and resembled a TV movie.
I don't understand the hype, like Dunkirk it was a solid 6/10.
This movie is dogsbit compared to Dunkirk
@@MC-yq6us on reflection I think I'd agree with you.
There have been a few great movies on the genre thought, I think saving private Ryan set the bench mark but I would also say band of brothers and the Pacific were better than Dunkirk, even Fury was better imo.
@@MC-yq6us
I’m still addicted 9 months later
This movie was worth all my hype literally
I know I’d love it because I’m obsessed with the First World War
They didn’t have planes in the 1930s
This is 1917...
Yes they did
🤦♂️
Have you spent your life on the moon or something?
This is The Great War 1914-18
This movie was meh
yea
The movie was more than that, you crazy
Yeah pretty awful movie
@@GIGI-lp1gc
It’s much better than that I already loved it
Poor acting, poor movie, enough said.
Poor comment enough said
@@ronswanson425 Before watching it, I had an inkling what it would be like, and was proved right, just really boring overall, not in the same league as Saving Private Ryan, which it blatantly tries to copy, not sure how it garnered so many awards, but Mendes is in the luvvie clique, and using virtually the same incidental soundtrack as in his poor Bond movies to try and build tension, just didn't work.
No problem with that, I loved it you didn’t
Most overrated filum of all time.
Nah, most amazing movie experience this year but I’m so glad it came before corona
The most overrated movie I've ever seen,, poor acting,, poor storyline sooo don't @me
It’s make me goosebumps
They focused too much on the cinematography and less on the storyline, it was a forgettable war film because of this.
I found it pretty memorable but okay...
The cinematography is what made it rememberable and unique
@@gmehaywood4010 no it didn’t, since birdman the whole one take thing has been really overused by Hollywood and it has also been used to overcompensate for lack of story case in point: 1917
Bu
yeah, lets cut it off where the part comes that we want to see.
It’s on the All Action channel
I hated this part, so much stupidity, not realistic at all. They would have held that German pilot at gun point, no chances taken. Infantry would have despised enemy pilots who bombed and strafed their trenches and advances from the safety of their cockpit, particularly because pilots tended to be from the ruling class and your average infantryman was not. Imagine sitting in your trench next to your best friend when out of the blue, the sound of a screaming engine and flechette darts or bombs come raining down without warning, tearing your friends apart, and all you can do is watch, curl up into a ball and/or try to shoot back with a bolt action rifle. They would have treated him almost as harshly as an enemy machine-gunner or sniper, but keeping him alive for interrogation, as pilots would have extremely invaluable intelligence concerning enemy positions and strength, not to mention information regarding enemy aircraft, their airfields and their capabilities.
What is that pilot doing with a whopping bayonet on his belt anyway it would make sitting in the cockpit tub seat near impossible.
