- In this video, we define continuity intuitively and formally, and then review a list of known functions that are continuous on their domains.
Functions that are continuous on their domains include
*polynomials,
*rational functions,
*radical functions and functions with rational exponents,
*trigonometric functions,
*Inverse trigonometric functions,
*exponential functions, and
*logarithmic functions.
When we compute limits of one of these functions, we need to know its domain. Provided x=c is in its domain, the limit of the function as x approaches c exists, and the limit is f(c).
