its so unfair about what happened to raducaun. first she UNKWOINGLY took that cold tablot that had that drug in it. second, 3 years after her medal was revoked, that drug became LEGAL in the the sport of gymnastics. and then she tried to petesion for her medal c=back, and she never got it. thats messed up

JAFAN2008 you are so correct, Andreea was awesome, and they made a huge mistake but somehow i don´t think it´s unfortunately that Simona keep the gold medal, she is a heroine, seven-time Olympic medalist and a ten-time world medalist, she is one of the most accomplished gymnasts in recent decades. Although I think Andreea must be claimed as official champion. I don´t know, it´s just that they were amazing and also Maria.
The divine trio of my generation8->. Romanians wrote history in the 80s, 90s, and DECIDEDED (involuntarily) the FATE OF A MILLENIUM OF GYMNASTICS BEGINNING WITH THE YEAR 2000. After the most disturbing performance of outshining every other competitors, and winning all 3 medals in the AA contest, IOC decided to allow only 2 gymnasts from each country to qualify...not to mention the fake, undesirved scandal regarding Andreea. Unjust.

They certainly are....though they are are not (or were'nt) that good on bars compared to other countries, both Raducan and Amanar spring to mind when saying that - tho I hear theyve made improvements in that area which is good!

Nobody was especting nothing from the romanians already. They didn't depend on theirselves to win; thay took advantage of the errors from the ones who were being the best. And don't forget what happened to Khorkina, who was everyone's favorite, and had been the first in the first selection...
And nothing of this would've happened if Zamolodtchikova and Karpenko hadn't fallen in the last tumbling in the last rotation, and of course, there hasn't been a problem in vault's high in Korkhina rotation. hehehe
i dont know what the big deal is about andreea raducan, she is a really good gymnast, but i think that oana ban is better than her. it seems like oana ban works harder but dosent get the scores andreea does. the thing about her getting her gold medal taken away was bull. i dont know why they did that, everyone gets sick, and all she wanted to do was get better so she could compete. she just did what her doc. told her to do, they shouldnt have taken it back.

Yeah...it's very sorry, but Andreea lost her gold medal for Dopping. The performance's change is very clean in 2000 and 2001, in World Champonships.
