Love that sound. I just ordered that exact mouthpiece. Gonna use a Boston Sax Shop #3 and JJ Power ring lig with it. Maybe it will make me put my 20 year old Beechler 7 into retirement.

Yes, I was thinking of such a mouthpiece. Perhaps it will suit me! I really want to hear version 5. I'm one of those people who doesn't like big opening and loud sound, I play in small rooms. It is possible to open 6, but 7 think a lot.

Sounds awesome. How much digital effect is in the recording or are you completely “pure”.
I put more reverb on this than I normally do since it's a ballad and that fits the style. Other than that there is a bit of EQ and very light compression.

Seems this timbre/color is uniform in all its range for this song. For Mercy Mercy Mercyn it seemed the timbre/color changed from dark in the low range to bright in the high range. I couldn't tell if that was intentional or just happened in association with the faster pace of Mercy Mercy Mercy.
