Hey there, Christian! Due to some renovations, I lost the space for the piano in my flat. But now it's back operational. And I am back to learning the basics of blues piano with you. After some hours on this video, I am almost half way through. Your work is priceless to me, my friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hope you are doing good there in Berlin.
LOVE IT. AS A BEGINNER I CAN LEARN THAT. plus beginners can also hit that little gear at the top right of the screen and slow the video down to a crawl to see everything.
I like very much Pizza and Broccoli, they are very famous in Italy. Now not only for eating... Thank you Christian for your execellent videos and sheets
Thank you Christian. I have already downloaded the sheet music, although I am still working on the beginners lessons. I can recommend everyone to take the lessons with the sheet music. It's so much easier and I also discovered so much more than when I first took the lessons without the sheet music. I can really recommend it and it is clear that Christian has really put a lot of work into it.
Great lesson Christian !!! I really enjoy your Beginner's series, and am learning so much. Currently I am on no. 11. This is so inspiring I'm tempted to start it now. So much good blues lessons and so little time Dilemna.....what to do, finish the Beginners series or jump to the Easy series.
That is so good...I've already learned your arrangement of HTRJ, so I'm up to speed. What's more, my partner had suggested home made pizza for this evening, so a win all round and all ready to hide away over Christmas learning this!
Love this tutorial.. One of my favorites! I keep coming back to this even though I am blasting through all your many subsequent tutorials. I get stuck many times on syncopations with the more advanced elements. Back to basics for me. Gawd! I wonder if I will ever get better with this, but I am the persevering type and will soldier on. Like you say, the pizza dough must always be there for all time, and your lessons will too. Now I feel like ordering a pizza!
Love your lessons, thank you! I lov this chord progression is it a variation of a Cm chord progression? Whats the best way to learn all the scales/chords, inversions, please? ANy ordder or methodology?
You are incredible!!! I’m so so so happy to find you! Ive been watching your videos and learning all night. I cannot wait to master each of your videos. I think you are charming and hilarious and so fun to watch and an incredible player and teacher. You are a gem in this piano tutorial youtube world. And i feel lucky to have found you! I cannot wait to spend lots of time with you this year learning. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and gift of teaching! My playing is going to finally bust out of the block chord plateau ive been stuck in for the past years…. And finally make the piano sing… when i sing with it… ive been so insecure about my playing when i perform… and its been professional for over 12 years now… my piano has been bare minimum…. Now im ready for this next level of learning and I couldn’t have found a better teacher and mentor to help me get there. Yay! You’re awesome!

Hey Christian, Fantastc lesson !! Thank you so very much! I just wonder though if there is any way you could do your sheet music in 'Smart sheet "? You know the ones that are synchronised with notes you play. It is much easier to follow the notes for a bad note reader like me. I am sure your music sheet will sell like hot cakes!!
Dominique
Thank you! I did your beginner playlist and now starting this. I feel like you're teaching us how to do paint by numbers. You tell us 1 means green, 2 means red, etc. When we're done, we have a picture that resembles real art, but which is obviously not. But I'm hoping that someday, some critical shift will be happen where I can create the art without the paint by numbers. Is that what happens? If I keep going doing your paint by number playlists some internal shift will occur and I'll be like, "oh yeah, I'll mix some 6ths here with a run up there and a left hand thing like this and now i'll do this...."
That's an excellent description of the process, as it should happen! And from the moment everybody can paint by numbers, the crowd will be spread between two poles: The ones who will never be able to go beyond the numbers ( which in my year long experience is very rare) and those who take off pretty fast. The naturals, so to speak. In between there is a field of all degrees. Not to mention those, who actually DON'T WANT to be beyond the numbers, who are quite happy being on the safe side at all times.
I think you are mad as a box of frogs but love your teaching style. ( wish you were local) My brain is having a hard time with the 1st bit because when you play R/H C and L/H F B end of second barr it just sounds wrong ( is that why you spoke at that point ). my left right hand independence needs work 🙂
