I agree with everything you said about helmets specific for general aviation pilots. Kudos to Lift for such a “Cadillac” helmet, but too expensive to convince most pilots to buy and wear. Geez, the ANR comms alone are already $1k. I certainly would like to see more GA pilots wear helmets. In my opinion, a light, low profile, thin shell, bicycle type molded helmet with passive comms and a simple polycarbonate visor would offer a lot of comfort and protection, even if suboptimal. The sky cowboys helmets come close to what I’m thinking, but even those are over $600. The market is so ripe for a more affordable, bicycle-type helmet designed for pilots. Yeah, I know “aviation dollars”, but I just don’t like to support that mind set.
@@RadDadisRad Its a game changer. If you get 2 visors and do clear main visor or its too dark if you have 2 colors. I find you only really need one sun visor.
I have the 1.0 helmet and really like it with Bose! I musta got an original one because I had to send mine in and have a hard visor mounted instead of the goggle strap! Think I’ll get a 2.1 next time👍

So LIFT Safety is a sister company of LIFT Aviation. I enjoy my LIFT Safety stuff at work. I also prefer helmets over muffs. Helmets are just safer.
Yes same group. They have been making pilot helmets for years though.
@@e3aviationassociation I did not know that. I will definitely be buying a 2.1

Hey @Wileybird03 Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great Vid
Just go buy a nice Gentex for less, and it looks cooler to boot.
How did I make it 8 minutes into a 26 minute ad for a $2500 Helmet 😂
LOL It is actually more than that with upgrades. Hopefully you learned something from the video.
Nice helmet, but the price is ridiculous.
$ 4400, I pass !
Includes the headsets
