5:47 When you play these types of chords and melodic flourishes on such a warmly voiced and pure sounding accordion I get STRONG Astor Piazzolla vibes. Wonderful
Thanks very much. Not sure if have much similarity in sound to Piazzolla , but like most accordion players I am a fan. The depth of Adios Nonino is amazing.
Dear Lange, I say dear because I'whatching and re-watching your videos several time. I want say thank you because you inspired in many sense my accordion study. It is not only matter of things you are explaining but the sense you give the music you play. Thank you for posting and sharing this. Best regards. Andrea
Dear David, many people don't know that the flat sign denoted by the letter B in small case is actually an abbeviation for the word 'bemole', which in French means softened, perhaps. 2.I am an admirer of your playing as well as pedagogic ability.
Thanks for that. On L Hand I play half diminished with the bass in the outside row, e.g.- B half diminished is Dm triad , as is, but with B (i.e., the B that is the 3rd of G, on the counter bass row) Dm over B is another way one can see it. It's always good to have alternatives though. Best wishes from Scotland.
You're right . Your voicing is more complete. This position I'm talking about is often an easier grab because it so often functions as a II, V to I like Dm7(b5), G7 to Cm. So there is less hopping around in the bass row. Both are good to know.
I have watched this video many times. Really enjoy it. But I'm still struggling with the exact fingering. David, is there any possibility you could give a bit more detail on which fingers you are using - and where they go? Thanks
I made a sloppy fingering chart but unfortunately there is no easy way to paste it in the comments. You can contact me through my Studio and I'll send you a copy if you're interested. Studio is easy to find online Davidlangestudios.com

Thanks so much.
Hi.what is the make of your beautiful accordion please, thank you . David
Hi David. My principle accordion is a Petosa AM 1100. I got it when I was 12 years old so it got a few miles on it. I believe it was made in 1962.
Is there a book on advanced accordion chords?
